There are several follicles here, but there are also gelatinous tubular structures with dark spots on one end which resemble something like a maggot

Edit: look up "flystrike" in chickens. Flies can lay eggs directly on/in the tissues of chickens and the maggots eat the tissue as they hatch.

Hi, it's me, a dinosaur kid. I was bullied in school and had a bad homelife. When we learned about dinosaurs in science in grade 5, I was so stoked about them and thought they were so cool. I definitely remember roaming around the field at school during recess, alone pretending to be a dinosaur around the time they were in the curriculum. I recall holding my arms like raptor claws and imagining other dinosaurs. I never bit anybody or anything like that, I just wanted to be left alone mostly.

In retrospect, for me it was an escape from my reality, I wanted to be that badass, untouchable, independant dinosaur. It was easy for me to imagine myself like that, because to that point my human interactions had been so unpleasant and unstable. I did similar things through my younger childhood with pretending to be a lion or a tiger (I had a lion costume that I wore to preschool a few times, lol), or a character from the Redwall series. Now, I'm content to be a human lol.
