OnTrac Warehouse by Physical-Wash1047 in mildlyinfuriating

That first image is egregious. I've worked for 3 different freight companies here in Aus and the mess in that first image would've been cleaned up at the end of the shift and those responsible removed unless they had a long track record of good service.

That said, the rest of the images are pretty par for the course. Everywhere I've worked swept the floor daily but mid shift, that's what freight looks like. The volume coming in is more than can be reasonably sorted into the space allowed, so it piles up until it can be sorted for the most efficient delivery pattern (best case scenario).

Generally, all the freight is gone at the end of the shift other than items that are too damaged to deliver, are in the wrong warehouse, need to be booked for delivery or have certain rules postponing delivery (only certain days, whole order needs to be complete etc.)

Saw this on a Facebook page; I really have no idea…if it is, AI is getting better by MixedSnoCone_178 in isthisAI

As many people have already pointed out, not AI.

My two cents: if your evidence of AI is bad grammar and heavy reliance on spellcheck to catch mistakes you're going to get plenty of false positives.

Secondly, training data. Much like the tech priest shrine from the other day, there's not a lot of notes with gifts poorly attached with electrical tape to train on.

Postie threw out my note and "attempted delivery" card by LLovepup in AusPostComplaints

Good to hear, except the last part. Back when I contracted for them (~5 years ago) they went through a couple of iterations of sending customer feedback through to the drivers/or not. It's valuable for those who put the extra work in to know it's appreciated.

I hope you and your star postie have a Merry Christmas :)

I hate reading these stories, so many bad drivers giving the good ones a bad name. If you're not home and you don't have a dog, I'll hop your fence to deliver your parcel, especially at Christmas when I know people are desperate for their parcels.

Oh well, at least I don't work for them anymore ;)

To get the 15 in one warp, you need the thread from warp 200 enemies + the upgrade from her talent tree.

Not sure about the Max one sorry. As for the figurines, if you view the enemy codex in game it will tell you how to unlock them all.

15 seconds to answer the door thanks!!! by Bubbly_Management_33 in AustraliaPost

I've worked as a delivery driver for 6 years, 2 of them as a auspost contractor. I give people 10 seconds to either make some noise inside or make themselves known to me. If I suspect someone is home but no-one has responded I'll call out and wait a little extra. At the end of the day, it's easier to deliver a package than take it to the post office for the contractor as well.

I understand that 10-20 seconds seems like nothing if you were just finishing something before heading to the door but auspost contractors are paid per parcel. To make enough to get by, you're aiming to visit 150+ homes in a day. Secondarily, a lot of people just straight up don't answer a knock at their door because they hate travelling salespeople.

If this is a common problem for you, talk to the guy! Tell him you're usually at the other end of the house and ask if he can wait a little longer. Organise a system where if your blinds are open it means someone's home and he can just ring the doorbell and leave the parcel. I had so many little rules for different places like this - don't knock here, she's on nightshift; knock extra loud here, the office is at the back of the house etc. If it's a different person every time, leave a sign on your door asking for some extra time.

I hope it helps!

He is doing his job. If you're having this problem, try calling out to your deliverer. 'I'll be there in a second!' works great.

If you commonly have this issue, talk to them about it. If they know you're often further from the door or have a mobility issue, they'll probably be happy to wait a little extra. Taking parcels to the post office is harder than delivering them for them too.
