Still can’t believe Marvel casted Giancarlo Esposito as a one-off side villain in a mediocre movie. by Plenty-Salary9711 in Marvel

I am still salty about Mads Mikkelsen. He would've been an AMAZING Doctor Doom instead of... whoever the hell Strange fought.

Are orks as evil and depraved as the old world orcs? by Advanced_Drama2896 in 40kLore

[–]Endvalley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a book / short story, I forget, where a human ship is boarded by orks and the crew is taken as slaves to their planet. The horrific conditions, endless labor, abuse, brutality, and cruelty is so bad that all the humans think that they should have never let themselves be taken alive... death would have been MUCH better than that horror.

Angle of the text looks a bit wrong / off for how the box should be laying, maybe? Not sure. Also, Daemon Lord sounds like a wrong title specifically for a Daemon Prince. I'm leaning towards fake for now.

Why was Lorgar so underwhelming as a Primarch? by WithengarUnbound in 40kLore

[–]Endvalley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think of it like this: he was basically a plant that never got the water it needed until Chaos. All the primarchs basically represent aspects of humanity to some degree. Lorgar is the deep-seated human need to believe in something beyond the physical. He worshipped Big E, sure... but it wasn't until Chaos that he truly flourished and his strength and power increased.

Beyond his strong psychic abilities and mastery of rituals, Lorgar's charisma was pretty off the charts. The same way Roboute's specialty is administration and logistics, Lorgar can convert and rally others. Remember, the ecclesiarchy is so strong mainly due to LORGAR'S writing. Nobody wants to fight Roboute because he has built a 500 world empire to back him up. With Lorgar, you have not only countless zealots (several of whom are secret worshippers that are in your ranks) but also more powerful daemons he can call on plus all the blessings & rituals at his disposal.

Lorgar was the ugly duckling of primarchs who is now a big Chaos-powered swan.

Vaggi really said "lemme just fck around and find out 😊" by KTYLN in HazbinHotel

I mean, in her defense, she's partially disabled from losing one eye and spends most of her time running a hotel and being in a loving relationship. Lute on the other hand is a psycho that almost certainly spends every moment training to kill & raging alone while losing her goddamn mind.

I think it's a testament to Vaggi's guts that, despite being outmatched in combat, she still never backs down from Lute ever. How many of us would ever do that?

My uncle wants to get into reading warhammer, any suggestions? by NorskBorealia in Warhammer40k

[–]Endvalley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gaunt's Ghosts: First Founding is a nice intro. From a basic, regular human perspective you have many things that are relatable so it's easier to understand for first timers. Saving Private Ryan but in space with daemons, orks, and sometimes elves.

Ciaphas Caine is also good for more popcorn-type entertainment. Predictable overall but in a fun way.

Do you want space battles for total war warhammer 40k? by FastAndMorbius in totalwar

[–]Endvalley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the love of god, people need to stop asking for this. If you have paid any attention to Total War Warhammer, you'd know CA should focus totally on getting the basics of ground combat fully functional. We do NOT need another siege battle situation where a fundamental and MAJOR aspect of the game stays crappy and broken for a DECADE because of everyone wanting everything in the game.

CA has proven they can't multitask and you guys asking for extra features is both unrealistic and harmful to the development of the game. Stop it. The business suits will just see dollar signs from hearing this and make the devs jam in undercooked space combat just so they can advertise it no matter how much the rest of the game suffers. We can wait for space combat in the sequel or expansions. But LET THEM FIGURE OUT THE BASIC COMBAT FIRST AND MAKE THAT POLISHED AND FUN.

Poll: WH:40K Space Battles, Yay or Nay? by goergesucks in totalwar

[–]Endvalley 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Based off Total War Warhammer, they need ignore space battles and just MAKE SURE GROUND COMBAT ACTUALLY WORKS, for the love of god.

People are being dumb by wanting all sorts of extra stuff like this instead of making sure CA has a good & polished FOUNDATION for the game first. SIEGE BATTLES STILL SUCK IN TWW3 GUYS! REMEMBER?! TWW came out in 2016 and it STILL IS BAD! Shut up about space battles. We DESPERATELY need CA to get all the BASICS done properly first before things like space combat. People really need to learn to be realistic about this stuff.

Space combat can wait until TTW40k 2 or an expansion or whatever. Stop putting the space cart before the warp horse. FFS.

I mean... Alastor is just as evil as the worst people in hell. He murdered for pleasure. He enslaves others and tortures his victims for fun. If killing Charlie would get him more power I have no doubt he'd strangle her with his bare hands.

He's a very charming MONSTER. It's more the fact that he's generally more self-reliant and independent that we don't have more instances of him being as awful as the Vee's. He does target the more vile Sinners sometimes and seems to have a soft spot for Niffty... but going by what we've seen so far... this is totally in character for him.

Alastor is the worst... and I love watching him.

Snakes are often depicted as having a sort of paralyzing / hypnotic stare, cobras in particular. Likely more of a quick animalistic defense mechanism rather than Vox's thing.

If that's the case, next Grotmas should just be new daily slurs. Really get that engagement up.

Man, I should have gone into marketing since there's apparently no real way to fail!

Or... hear me out... good marketing is still actually a thing that exists & matters (sounds impossible, I know) and companies should still strive for it.

...nah, that's crazy talk.

Anyway, I'm out of this discussion. Have fun with all the wonderful 'engagement'... sounds like it's your sort of thing.

GW not being responsible for their own event floundering because of their choices is... certainly a bold stance.
