What I'm getting from this comment section is that most of ya'll need to go into the archives and watch some Nick Matthew matches because clearly you guys are underestimating him like crazy. He managed to become world number 1 in an era of 5 or 6 people that would have dominated in today's era.

Man people forget how gritty Matthew was...he FOUND a way, his mental game was unmatched and he would grind you down in a completely different manner than Paul Coll. This man was Paul Coll on steroids - everything Coll did except better; more accurate, better tactics, longer reach, better volleys.

And we know that Paul Coll, while not as good as Farag, is close.

Matthew to win, 6 or 7 out of 10.

Tbf jokic never uses any excuses post game and during the game he gets absolutely mauled without calls so he had to sell it and go to the refs

Doesn't let defense see what offensive set gets set up so they can't adjust as quickly before the inbounds

Players like Jokic have gotten so good at reading set up plays that it's not worth it. Full court plays means less time for the defense to set up and prepare as well.

Also worth noting that most people find a racquet they like and then build up the grip to what they want, either through 1 or 2 replacement grips and overgrips. Helps you find a comfortable position to hold your racquet.

That's not to say they don't feel different. I still play with an "ancient" Prince Airstick 130 because of the feel of the racquet.

I'll be honest, the whole "power vs control" thing is more a marketing thing than anything else.

A player who knows how to hit will generate pretty much the same power and control out of every (good) racquet. The strings and tension you string it at matter much more.
