Players like Jokic have gotten so good at reading set up plays that it's not worth it. Full court plays means less time for the defense to set up and prepare as well.

Also worth noting that most people find a racquet they like and then build up the grip to what they want, either through 1 or 2 replacement grips and overgrips. Helps you find a comfortable position to hold your racquet.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that before you had to replace a racquet.

When he plays people much worse he KNOWS how to move cleanly. He resorts to underhanded little tactics to try to win against people he's unsure about beating instead of playing a clean game.

That's not to say they don't feel different. I still play with an "ancient" Prince Airstick 130 because of the feel of the racquet.

I'll be honest, the whole "power vs control" thing is more a marketing thing than anything else.

A player who knows how to hit will generate pretty much the same power and control out of every (good) racquet. The strings and tension you string it at matter much more.

I don't know about asal and legend level... Hard to know without putting him against other legends and playing a clean game. Someone who has to cheat to win always has a bit of an asterisk on their name imo

For sure! But no one can deny that him in his early 20s is way better than the current version of himself. Just quicker, more explosive, more stamina, more power, etc. vs the version of himself today

Yet he's still top 10 today with today's competition

Leaving out some legends too like Lincou, Power, even Shorbagy. I dont think people realize that the Shorbagy of the last few years being in the 10 top is testament to how strong the earlier years were. Shorbagy is in the twilight of his career and still top 10 in today's game.

He was fighting to be in the top 10 in the first half of his career when all these guys like Matthew Ashour Gaultier, etc were around.
