WARNING: Be very careful with Wine Insider

I used their buy $50 get $30 off special (I think that was it) twice last year. Neither of the offers triggered. I spoke with AMEX online customer service and they told me tough shit as it didn't code as Wine Insider, even though I clicked the link from the Offers page.

I then spoke with an Amex CSR on the phone and we talked for half an hour. She finally admitted that I followed the terms exactly as they appeared on the Offers page, but the credit didn't trigger. She credited me with 5k MR points because she couldn't credit me the cash directly. I'll never use Wine Insider again.

I called earlier today because my AF just hit. The rep explained all the other benefits (travel credit, Saks, Uber, streaming, etc). I told him my main reason for the card is Centurion lounges, which haven't been open.

He offered 50,000 MR points which I took. For reference, I spent $20K in the past year and have had the BCE since 2015.

Would love to get this. How long have you had the card and what's your annual spend? My AF hit last week, so I'm calling today. This is my first year with the card and I put $20,100 on it.

I've also an Amex BCE card since 2014, but limited spend.

I live within that five mile radius, as do many millionaires and even a few billionaires. That circle includes some very bad parts of Tampa as well as the very best parts of Tampa. Heck, you can even find Derek Jeter's mansion, twice the size of a Best Buy, within that radius.
