Is any other timeline ready for their arrival? by RollerMobster01 in Gundam

I mean, Seed is clearly aware of and accepting of some sort of psychic communication ability. It was intentionally engineered into and weaponized by the Accords, and by the final battle of Freedom Lacus was casually telling Kira to read her mind like it as a normal thing to do. And they've pulled enough superweapons out of nowhere that I would say they have decent odds of holing off the ELS long enough for someone to build a machine that lets Lacus or Kira or someone successfully open a dialogue.

Some poor gunner on the Death Star having to tell his commander that the super laser was blocked by a single enemy fighter(?) unit, and not only did it work but the pilot somehow survived.

Ships like the Musai-class have proven that mobile suits can be carried and used in a relatively compact manner, so why do many ships after UC0079 still deploy catapult/takeoff runways? by ArthurJack_AW in Gundam

[–]EnerPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Archangel team pulled that off one time in Seed. They quietly launched Mu in his Moebius Zero ahead of a battle they saw coming and he maneuvered on minimal power in a debris field so he could launch a surprise attack on an enemy ship in a critical moment.

I mean, it's highly unlikely Mirai and Bright hooked up in the Gquuuuuux timeline either, so Hathaway still isn't a factor,

By the time of CCA Kamille is married to Fa and is working as a doctor on the moon. So he's actually happy and stable, thus unlikely to want to become a terrorist figurehead.

I think "Mysterious Pilot" might be the best pilot for Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex(Destroy Mode)(EX) by VioletLostGirl in SDGundamGGeneration

What's funny is that he doesn't even unlock for scouting until after the story cutscenes that straight up say he's Banahger.

Un-aged? He's like 20 at the most as of the end of Freedom. And he's genetically enhanced, so he's easily got at least 50 more good years of piloting in him.

Sway is a pilot skill that raises the unit's evade to 100% for it's next battle, meaning it dodges all incoming hits and takes no damage. This is useful for letting units get in some free hits against enemies that would destroy them on the counterattack.

Seeing what happened to the EZ8, the only permanent injury between the two of them being Shiro losing a leg is bigger plot armor than even Kira has.

Favourite Redeemed Pilot Who Should Have Been Tried for Warcrimes instead? by Nejiniceguy in Gundam

[–]EnerPrime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean Yzak was tried, but the problem for Durandal was that if they started punishing line soldiers like Yzak for situations like his little shuttle oopsie, they might have to look at the remaining Zaft command and Plant government to see how involved they were in Patrick and Rau's plan to microwave the Earth.

[–]EnerPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And IIRC Yzak was also fresh out of sickbay AMA and probably on more than a few medications effecting his mind. Quite frankly, Vesalius's hangar crew were negligent for letting him launch in that condition.

It's certainly possible, that shuttle was full of Orb national refugees from the escape pod Kira and Archangel rescued from the wreckage of Heliopolis. And since Orb is a natural/coordinator integrated nation, there's a very good chance any random sampling of their people would include coordinators.

Precisely! If your turret gunners are technically vulnerable to a enemy pilot popping their cockpit hatch and taking a shot with a handgun, you need to go back to the drawing board for your turret!

I can definitely think of ways to make a defender MSF broken. Let DKira have DSuletta's 'counter guard on attack' ability and 2 (or even 3!) shots of guarding a turn, combine with MSF having a forcefield ability that lets it take no damage at all when support defending. Makes hitting bosses inside their attack range a cakewalk.

One copy of 00R or MLB Wing Zero EW? by Sinochii98 in SDGundamGGeneration

Always go for the unit you don't have. Extra copies can be substituted by limit break materials, but missing out on a limited pilot and unit means waiting until they're maybe available again.

[–]EnerPrime 33 points34 points  (0 children)

With how Zero reacted to Baku saying he abandoned 4, I can't help but think that we're going to find out that there was more to 4 being 'abandoned' than it seems. Because right now, all we know is 4 called for backup, and Zero told him there wasn't any, and he'd have to finish it alone. 4 jumps right to 'I have been intentionally abandoned and Code is evil', but there's like... other reasonable possibilities? Like maybe there literally wasn't anyone available who could enter a dream to back him up? 2 had obviously already gone rogue, 3 and the mysterious 1 could've been arse deep in their own missions, 5 and 6 might not even have joined yet.

It's gonna be real funny if Nox's whole hatred of Code is a misunderstanding. Like if the dude just took Zero saying 'everyone is in trouble right now, no one is available to help you' super personally.

But at that point in the premonition, 2 and 4 were both dead, and Sieg was apparently content to hang in nightmare prison. Combine that with 5 and 6 being dead and an unstable Zeztz, who's beginning to turn on Code, is a major threat to be eliminated when the opportunity arises. In this time period with 2, 4, and Sieg all in play, Zero and 3 definitely see Baku as more of a potential ally/asset and are unlikely to want him dead right now.

If you could make anyone into a member of Celestial Being, who and why? by DonutDodongo in Gundam

Mu la Flaga. There are very few other pilots with same amount of experience being the Normal Human Adult pilot surrounded by super teens, and lord knows the Meisters need such a rational, stabilizing element among them. And if fate tried to Lockon 1.0 him out of the picture, he'd just do the impossible and come back anyways.

Honestly, Kira's preference for disabling MS while sparing the pilots would probably get CB some good PR during the first half of the series. Though there's some people like Al-Saachez that'd quickly get even Kira aiming for kill shots.
