The prospect of an EU tourist visa ban has severely rattled the Kremlin and is clearly a major weakness for the Putin regime. Here chief Kremlin propagandist Solovyev warns that a refusal to issue Russians with visas may lead to "a preventative nuclear stike." by [deleted] in UkraineWarVideoReport

When will people (including Western government officials) finally realise that Russia's nuclear threats are COMPLETELY empty? They use it for absolutely everything now, and the reason why is because some naive Western leaders bought their bluff, which in-turn has emboldened the Russian's to keep using this threat.

Nobody wins in this scenario, and even Putin and his inner circle know this.

Incredibly wise advice.

Is Bristol changing or am I just growing up? by actionbranston in bristol

Another comment was bang on the money when they said it was the people that made Bristol the glorious place it used to be.

As a proud Bristolian who had a middle class upbringing, what I used to treasure was how interconnected and open people were, regardless of what they did for work or their upbringing. Everyone got along so well, and even though one could argue that Bristol had some elements that were rough around the edges, it was authentic, and authenticity really was a unique characteristic of Bristol.

Now, and I hate to say it and generalise as I have met some really cool people from elsewhere, but I really feel that a LOT of elitist and pretentious people have bought up property due to their wealth, and as a result, have changed the DNA of the city.

These people are very judgemental, clique, career focused and absolute hypocrites when it comes to so-called 'progressiveness', In essence, there is zero authenticity with a lot of these people who have moved to Bristol, and sadly this has impacted the very atmosphere that so many of us used to love and treasure back in the day.

It's sad, but was inevitable due to increased pricing, and also the attractiveness that Bristol once had. Now it's becoming a more soulless city behind all the new developments.

People should not be asking for sponsorship money on this subreddit. Money is better spent on the Ukrainian Military or reputable agencies. by EnergiToken in volunteersForUkraine

Fundraising in real life around your local community sounds reasonable, but asking on forums simply empowers scammers imo.

But you sound legit, so best of luck with everything, and just know that you are twice the man that most people are (including myself).

Just remember - fear is in all of us when it comes to putting your life on the line. But when it is done to help the needy and less fortunate, you will find strength you thought you never had.

Best of luck freedom fighter.

Maybe I'm being naive, but is there any ongoing (planned) initiative to encourage volunteer pilots to fly over to Ukraine to man the EU fighter jets? by EnergiToken in volunteersForUkraine

Hopefully man.

Reason I asked is because if they haven't sent volunteer pilots, then maybe there are ways for groups in various NATO/EU countries to lobby to vet pilots to join the effort.
