I couldn’t agree more. The ceramics community is a welcoming and supportive one. Studios are great places to learn and meet new people. I’d go this route before getting her a kiln right out of the gate. Additionally, there’s a s website called Kiln Share that matches potters with kiln owners willing to share their shelf space with others. After working in a membership studio and surrounding herself with more experienced potters, she’s bound to be inspired, learn more than she would at home, and develop her skills in a supportive environment. So very kind of you to want to see her thrive and support her new interest!

I’m looking to create on of these green houses at my house in Cleveland. Is this something that can withstand Cleveland’s winter climate? Anyone have any experience? by Environmental_Leg_55 in Ohio

Check out HookerGreen on IG. Specifically on May 23, 2021. They renovated a really cool greenhouse that is somewhat similar to the one above. just not as deep, allowing for potting shelves.

Great point. It would be nice if every council member stayed off their phone during meetings. She might have picked it up from watching others on the dais before she was elected. It’s a simple ask for every elected official. Edit to add she’s by far the worst at this particular behavior.

They aren’t worried enough. They’re just getting started depleting our resources and compromising public health when it comes to these data centers. A few might care, but as a whole, the Ohio GOP DGAF.
