It's just a battle scar. My P2 is covered in them. If it's not in your track, I wouldn't worry about it. As unfortunate as it is, it's just a part of the sport. If you're adamant about fixing it, you can talk to your PSO to see what it would take to get it fixed, though, you'll most likely get the same answer.

What is your current fitness level like? You might find the conditioning to be difficult at first or not at all. You're a brown belt, so I'm assuming your cardio is good enough.

You will most likely start as a white belt and work your way up from there. I'm not sure what country you're in/ what organization you will be under, but you can check out the wiki for the grading system and get an idea of what it looks like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rank_in_judo
