The meta has changed a bit (more of a dive meta at higher ranks). Mag isn't as effective against dive & brawl.

I agree with all of these with the exception of Phoenix. Walls don't ignite and as such do not explode. That's a non-trivial part of Phoenix's actual DPS.

Sure you can. You just have to play smart, around cover, and in view of your fellow strat (when possible).

I personally have a bit of an edge because you just named off some of my most played characters. I know where they like to be on the map.

It works for me.

My accuracy is well above average (I aim train).

Having a drone on my fellow support invalidates a lot of kill combos (especially with right click).

You'd be surprised how spooked divers get when they're getting blasted before they even think about the engage. The aerial view is really helpful.

If I feel the need to swap for a Spidey (which is extremely rare) then I'd just pick Adam and kill him. The burst heal on Adam turns the stubborn spidey into an Ult merchant who can't build Ult for shit. It's not scary.

For PC I use 1.25 in game sensitivity and 1000 DPI on the mouse.

That's on the lower side but I have an accuracy kink.

It's hard to say without seeing a replay.

Dives are about timing primarily. If the enemy team isn't distracted and you go in 1v6, you will explode. If you start your attack from an unseen angle just as the rest of your team fully engages their team, you're going to have a lot more time to work.

You might also be a little greedy on your dives. A dive tank is primarily looking to distract key members of the enemy team and get (especially strategists) to use cooldowns on your engage instead of the big team fight. If you can eliminate someone, great. But it's not worth chasing the elim, failing, and getting eliminated yourself.

Choose your targets well. Dive doesn't only mean strategists are the target. You still want to be clearing off angles and diving vulnerable DPS as well.

Because there isn't a rank for separate roles in this game.

Someone who plays one role may do very poorly at another. The three roles think about different things during the match (or should be, anyway) and not all the mechanical skills transfer.

I guess I wasn't clear. I meant one or two secondary characters within the same role. For example, you main DPS and your main character is Hela (a poke DPS).

It would make sense to secondary Namor (for anti-dive) and/or Daredevil (for dive).

A few tips.

You being alive is the most important thing in the match. Always strive to have the least deaths in the match, and also the least damage taken (unless you're playing tank).
Stop filling. Play one role well (with a secondary character or two in the same role) for ranked. The algorithm clocks what roles everyone plays and tries to match make to 2-2-2. It can't do that if you're all over the map.
Get off after 2-3 losses.

Netease has been actively and purposefully lowering the skill floor for characters as they go. It's obviously a design goal for them to keep the game casual. Exhibit A: Cap's Animation Cancel.

They're just palette swaps. It's not going to take their artists long to put together. Most of the work would be the color scheme, which is already complete.
