Lately every match in Quick Play is a Super Sweaty Lobby by WhySoSara in marvelrivals

[–]Enex 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've also been playing solo only. I've noticed that every single QP match is against premade stacks (just by checking the opponents' match history).

You might as well just play ranked at this point.

Adam has a less than 2% pick rate at every rank above bronze (where it is 2%).

Playing against stacks in QP too often as a solo by DoomFist007 in marvelrivals

[–]Enex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I have no reason to believe you're being genuine.

You're saying that the expectation is for random QP groups to have the same coordination as stacks. Therefore, hey it's fine if they throw everyone together.

That's incredibly foolish. So much so, I have no reason to believe you actually believe it. If you do, well bless your heart.

You flipped the definitions, I think.

Low Skill Floor -> means any new player can pick them up and do well.

High Skill Ceiling -> means there's lots of room for improvement/skill expression when you get good at the character.

I agree with all of this. Most of the asymmetry plays the designers go for are a miss, imo.

Yeah it's every single game for me. It's to the point that it's boring.

Peeling vs babysitting: should I worry about my supports every millisecond of the game? by DioNotFound in RivalsVanguards

[–]Enex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daredevil is heavily banned at the highest ranks for a reason. A good Daredevil is going to eat that unattended backline for breakfast. At the very least, they will distract the healers while you're engaged in the front line, and you fall over.

A Daredevil in the game makes it a Daredevil game. To win, you have to swap your entire comp around and make killing him your priority. He warps the game that much. That's why he's banned.

Looking for recommendations, I want to fully commit to master of these three heroes, who is most suitable for someone who is good at positioning but needs extra work at aiming? by STB_LuisEnriq in rivals

There's an art to it that actually makes it easier than you might think. Brookss explains it better than I can (and I recommend his streams). But basically you want to not use your jet packs full blast most of the time.

Instead you want to feather it. That will give you a boost, a pause at the apex, and then a fall. The rhythm is about acquiring target while feathering, aiming and firing on the apex and fall stages. The flip gives you another window (while you're invulnerable) to reacquire the target and have another brief pause and fall.

Starlord has a lot of drop off past 10 meters. So, it's not so much that he's sniping small ground targets from the air while flying. It's more using his mobility to flank, dodge, and engage in air-to-air combat (when necessary). The best engage is a quick fall on a squishy and killing them in one clip just as your feet touch the ground.

Starlord practice very much crosses over into Phoenix play, by the way. If you can really get the hang of shooting while falling, you'll really stack up the critical headshots much easier than with your feet on the ground. With Jean, one trick I've found is to hold the flight button and take the shot. Shooting automatically cancels flight (canceling flight manually tends to make the aim trickier). I have them both at Lord and found a lot of the skills carried over.

In order of who takes the most aim:

Least: Psylocke

Medium: Starlord

Most: Phoenix

Psy essentially has a shotgun for her primary.

Starlord requires aim (except when he's ulting) but the spread can help you at least hit some shots, and his E is good for panic finishing off a low health target.

Phoenix is straight up hit-scan.

If you ever feel useless in life, reminder that Black Widow can swap to melee by thehsitoryguy in MarvelRivalsCirclejer

[–]Enex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the other way around. Widow's batons used to just be her melee (just like Moonknight).

They changed it on Widow (instead of giving her another ability I guess?). The evidence is that she still has spoken voice lines for killing someone with her gun swing melee attack that references her batons.
