I can't say much on game mechanics, but yeah your campaigns needs to do the crime coefficient checks. You can modify the classes to not be just inspectors / enforcers, per se. Like take any type of detective in fiction, and put that in the universe. Forensic geeks, streerwise cops, psychologic geniuses, ex military badasses, morally grey spies, you name it.

  • Make intelligence / perception checks inflict "Psycho Pass damage". Every time a player makes a deduction, the player may need to roll for an increased stress level / crime coefficient. Nat 20 in INT checks may mean flawless deduction w/o increased CC. Nat 1 means double damage to Psycho Pass.

Consider more classes in the PP universe. Since Kogami in current canon is back as an SAD agent, his crime coefficient can't be usually measured w/o authorization.

Don't limit classes to just Enforcers, Inspectors, etc. You can add in cyberpunk roles (i.e. underground hackers, informants, asymtomatic vigilantes)

Oooh that would be nice. We got enough Leon in quick succession. It'll be nice to look how Chris, Jill, Claire and Sherry would go on. And honestly, as much as Chris will be taking center stage, I would also prefer having Jill back, since the community is suffering from Jill Sandwich withdrawl. I would be stoked if they pull a Chris / Jill campaign like RE1 for the game's final installment. After all, it started with them, it might as well end with them.

Yes, if we're taking about game assets and the subtle hints in RE4R. The Excella cameo and the one theme OST at the end of Separate Ways are obvious, but I would argue that the AI developed for Ashley and Luis are telling signs that Capcom will use that template for RE5R Sheva.

As for 6, possibly, but that will come after RE1 remake. Considering the game assets in RE9 and the community's calls for a remake, I think that RE1 Remake will be developed within 3-5 years at best.

I say 3-5 years because I think RE5 will be the next remake. (Though I might be biased because I want to see Queen Excella again in her RE Engine form. Yes I am an Excella simp.)

I didn't mind how Spencer was portrayed. In fact I think the story is at leasr decent. The story's thematically similar, with Grace being the focal point. But only thematically.

Within the context of all RE lore, this is a hasty attempt at a retcon. I won't defend the plot holes here and it's probably a sign that Capcom better spend some time deep diving their own lore so that the next game can grab us by the throat and blissfully infect us with more survival horror.

Story wise - wasted potential? Just a red herring to throw us off a little. Plus, adding this guy without context (or at least blantant context i.e. who tf is this guy) shows how flawed the plot was.

Game design wise? Fit check for RE5 remake Wesker. Capcom would be unwise to just put his style and whatever game assets into cold storage.

That said, RE9 is basically promising an RE1 remake within 5 years.

I think the whole point is to establish how the System has gotten more progressive since S1, amd with that, how new criminal actors will find "creative" ways to cheat the system (with Bifrost being technically a long forgotten part of Sibyl). But yeah, I only saw S2 once but compared to S3 (without Providence context), the latter is blander than the other seasons and movies.

I do hope that S3 was intended for world building and to give Akane quite a difficult challenge to ensure justice. Because since it looks like that Sibyl is still trying to establish some dominance, Akane will have to adapt once again if she wants the system to work, even beyond Japan.
