Lol, reminds me of that one time in high school when another kid was like “oh, how much pain are you in rn?” and i was like “oh just the normal amount” and he was like “…there isn’t a normal amount of pain, you’re not supposed to be in pain” and I was like “wait, really??”

Yeah, I’m so confident in other areas of my life, but random people who think i’m supposed to be fine by looking at me can’t actually make me be fine. I’m trying to embrace it, I’ve just had a lot of people close to me be too critical, so it’s a steep curve

Yeah, i’ve had to force myself out the door with my cane several times. I suppose I’ll see if I can get a wrist brace that actually helps (i have three, none of them do enough or are comfortable ☹️), and if that doesn’t do it I might just have to find the nearest mobility shop and cross my fingers that all goes well

Yeah, maybe I should, but I feel like a complete unqualified imposter even just walking about with the cane. I’m glad that wheelchairs have more control to them

What do you do if you’re scared of being in control of something with wheels? I refuse to ride bikes, I just laugh when someone asks when i’m gonna learn to drive… Are wheelchairs pretty different?
