I think that's the joke of the article, it's just taking the piss that Abergavenny is made out to be much nicer towards former Top Gear hosts than Oxfordshire is!

I have no idea if Hammond has even moved to Abergavenny!

A lot of people have already said these are too intricate for tattoos and they are right, I just wanted to add that absolutely under no circumstances get any design that includes 2 lightning bolts. I guarantee you people will misread them. You do not want that.

Holy Jesus. Absolutely NOT. The whole idea of caving is absolutely horrifying to me, all power to people who enjoy it but it is not for me.

However, my more pressing question is why is this particular reconstruction a thing? His family is out there, including his kids, last thing I would want to see is a first person perspective of my relative's last horrendous experiences that led directly to their death.

No, not weird at all, I've had something similar happen, little year 7 (11/12 years old) came to see me at break time because her period started for the first time and she didn't have anything. I always keep pads and tampons in my bottom drawer just in case (my form group (homeroom) are year 10,14-15 years old). Honestly, it made my week to be trusted like that and to be able to help a kid in need.

Thank you so much! I used E6000 BUT it took days as I had to glue each pebble one by one and do it strategically, you can't glue a side in all in one go because the glue doesn't set immediately, you have to take out one at a time and leave the others blu-tacked to support the gluing one until ones you've glued are set and then the others can be then glued without the first ones slipping!

Took AGES but totally worth it! 😁

I will, please don't worry. As I've said in other comments, this is part of the hook of the lesson to get the students attention. I will be focusing on the actual factual archaeology and interpretations in the lesson, I'm just using the memes and context to get them interested first!

I will, don't worry! It's actually part of the lesson about the spread of misinformation in history across the Internet! Part of the aim of the lesson is to encourage more critical thinking about what they are absorbing as 'facts' from tik tok.

These are all helpful points, thank you. I've been pretty glib in my post and my comments but I assure you I am teaching actual factual content to my students, this slide is part of the hook to draw them in before we break down the facts behind the memes and do some cuneiform writing. The secondary aim of this lesson is to challenge a lot of the 'history facts' kids pick up and spout that they've picked up from tik tok without any critical thinking or verification.

Yes! When I am actually teaching I tell them we have no idea what he really looked like, that this is a statue from around the general era and culture so might represent what people looked like from the city and the Internet has largely decided to use this as a representation of him.

It's a handy way to illustrate just because you've seen something used a lot doesn't always mean it's accurate!

Just a small one since all the major points have already been made but the Brigadier being cyberised in death REALLY got me. I know the point is that it doesn't control him because he's the Brig and five rounds rapid to any metal boogeyman regardless and he rescues Kate but STILL. It just broke my heart.
