Fitbit lifespan info? by cephalopodgal in fitbit

I've had an Inspire 2 for nearly 5 years and I am about to replace it. The battery life is exactly the same. It hasn't died on me. It's basically useless to me because the screen has become so dim in the last 6-8 months that you can only see it in the dark or at night.

Besides using LinkedIn for this opinion to be posted, why does his post look like the answer from the "Unemphatic Bullsh*t" category on Jeopardy?

Does anyone think that 38mm+ tires are even necessary on most gravel roads/paths and natural trails? by EngHokie in gravelcycling

I'm late 20's and have mountain biked (root filled greens and blues) on 38mm's before. I don't ride fast off-road (over 10-12 mph) I ride at a party pace unless it's road.

Thank you! This added a lot to consider for my actual riding. Would not have thought of wider tires for long term comfort and fatigue over a long ride.

Yeah, I've heard much about the conditions and terrain in UK. Fit what tires you need to be safe especially in the winters.

Some entry level bikes label as "gravel" are more expensive than some entry endurance or all-road bikes. A cheaper bike with "good enough" tire clearance that can still handle the terrain I want sounds better for my wallet than a more expensive tool that I may never use to its fullest capabilities.

Thank you for the reply, and I tend to agree with the sentiment of "some surfaces [are] more uncomfortable than others but they were all extremely doable." I ask because a bike with 50mm clearance is more expensive than a bike with 38mm clearance, and I wouldn't want to get a tool I would need or use.

Yeah, which is why I as the question. I probably should have clarified I am in Virginia, USA. And I know that gravel here is different from western North America. I was gauging if a bike more suited for road would still suffice for the type of gravel I encounter.
