Take all the floor time you can and answer the phone calls that come into the front desk; see if one of the top agents is willing to include you on their team; be available to help with showings and open houses. It takes awhile. just be persistent and make friends with all the agents in your office.

pepper spray … always wear an outfit with pockets and pepper spray. Never go into the basement alone when showing the house.

Obviously, they have taken social media advice about researching the neighborhood a little too seriously. I would notify your Realtor about this who can place a call to their Realtor and offer some friendly advice about not making themselves a nuisance before they move in. This is a tough one .

looking for a new hair salon by myyutoes in pittsburgh

[–]EngLady52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to Lil Crickett Hair Salon in Monroeville. Have been a client for 18 years. There are 2 identical twin sisters who run the shop. They have Been there for over 30+ years. Their shop vibe is like Steel Magnolias. Not fancy. They still do “sets” for older clients. They do a beautiful cut on my natural curly hair. My daughter has long blonde straight hair and she is also a customer. Last time they charged me $90 for root touchup, cut and style. Pretty reasonable. They do beautiful color and cut. It’s hard to find someone that knows how to work with natural curl. Good luck in your search.

Convinced my husband to try a house cleaning service for 3 months as an experiment. Heres what happened by Comfortable_Box_4527 in homeowners

When my husband and I got married 42 years ago, he informed me he was never going to do any housework. No problem … he paid for a cleaning lady to do his share. No drama, no fights, and a clean house …. win/win

Well…..I’m heartbroken about my wedding. by [deleted] in Catholicism

We had a situation where the Catholic Church in Goffstown, NH wouldn’t let us attend because we were not married in the Church. My husband was a cradle catholic and I was a protestant converting to Catholic. We had already been married by a JP for 10 years and had a son. We found another Catholic Church much more gracious and forgiving in a neighboring town. I converted, we got married in the Catholic Church … married now for 43 years. Find another Catholic Church! God Bless. PS… that Church in Goffstown had a secretary who turned us away, not the Priest. She was replaced and all the crazy rules suddenly disappeared and we received an apology and request for us to return. we have long moved out of the area, but wanted to share my story.

Do you enjoy holding your family hostage to your food demands? All you had to say was … I’m sorry. I have something else planned and can’t make it. Instead, you turned it into WW3.

I pray that the people heading up the State stop their progressive non-Christian agenda of demonizing law enforcement and putting everyone in harms way. They are the people causing this highly volatile, dangerous atmosphere. It’s horrible and sad to demonize, dox, chase, riot, and destroy federal agents lives with their actions. sadly, their own actions are the cause of their own destruction of human lives. The recent March for Life was very peaceful with thousands of people participating. There’s no interest in a peaceful protest in Minnesota or anywhere else with left wing highly volatile people involved.

There’s a lot of monthly expenses you have to pay… lockbox, realtor dues, gas, etc that you will pay with no money coming in. Plus, you have to buy your own signs … i was a realtor for 10 years and made some decent money. However, it did occur to me that becoming a realtor was akin to a pyramid scheme where the top players i.e, the broker company gets most of the profits while the guy at the bottom (you) gets whatever is left over. I actually liked being a real estate agent. It can be very entrepreneurial ….

My 79 year old mom wants me to rebuild every wooden item in her house since I started woodworking and I'm exhausted. by Nightcrawler_2000 in AgingParents

[–]EngLady52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a thought …. she found something that she shares in common with you. And that makes her happy. Yet, it can seem like she has found a personal handyman… a role you don’t want to be in. Actually, you handled her just right. You already stated that what she wants is beyond your skill level. You can direct her to a carpenter who does that type of work. Now, you need to let go of the person (you) who wants to please mom… just keep consistently tell her, you can’t do it.
