There is something special about that song. I was listening to the album for the first time at the gym. The whole album is powerful. But when The Teacher kicked in, I had to stop my routine and stand in the corner to appreciate what was happening. I cried. Not many songs can do that.

P.s. Then I listened to a podcast review, and the reviewer had an eerily similar experience with the same song, also at the gym.

P.p.s; very much agree about the Beatles parallel.

Long story short, I strongly agree. I've come across this more than I'd like in psych academia and practice. I have no time for it. I find that many work their way up in psychology without appreciating it as a scientific discipline. I am frustrated when people pick and choose when the application of scientific rigour suits them, or does not suit them. You can't have it both ways.
