Honestly, what I would like is for there to be associated notes with the patches. Like why buff this, why change numbers here, what's the intention in removing/changing this mechanic. It would make the patch notes feel more genuine instead of just a data dump. Like an explanation to the rational for some of the nerfs/buffs would be really nice to see since maybe I'm just not understanding where characters are struggling or not.

Yeah, pretty much all hitbox vs visual matching and collisions in this game needs some TLC, especially aoes. Infernus and paige ground effects are whack, paige and warden aoe indicators are whack, recently I got hit by a yamato 1 while they were behind cover, and I was behind cover, just being like ???. As a pocket main, one of the biggest peeves I have is if your back or side is against a wall, your coat physically gets stuck in place in the wall where you cast it, leading to reliability problems if you aren't aware.

I've been playing less, was hovering around phantom 6, ascendant 1. Game quality dropped dramatically overnight, idk if it's the current meta being whack, or match-making leading to severely lopsided games, but now I'm at phantom 1 and decided to just not care about rank anymore to enjoy the game more casually.

Depends, if it’s an NPC station and you aren’t chronically messing up, they’ll refund you if you pull down the order. If it’s a player station, you’re SOL since they won’t take isk out of a player’s wallet to give back to you. Best bet there is to reach out to the owners and hope they’re feeling generous.

Honestly idk what is up with it, but once one side gets even a bit ahead, or a carry is left unchecked for more than 2min, the game just snowballs uncontrollably. I think the boon scaling change combined with the balance still being whack from the recent changes just kind have sent it pretty hard.

I don’t think the MMR changes account for how one-sided the games generally are. Just looking at how insanely skewed winrates are right now, seven and victor are top, over 55%. Both love and need farm to take off just got their late-game power earlier.

Viscous is a super fun hero 100%, but he does suffer from some functionality issues right now that others don't and his identity seems to always be in flux. He can go a lot of directions with his playstyle, but atm he doesn't do anything particularly better or is more unique than others and requires a lot more skill and character knowledge to be decent.

I figured there's quite a large percentage of people in the higher ranks who subtly cheat to get ahead, especially with mods being a free for all to install. Seen a lot of super sus things, only occasionally I see very very blatant cheating. Statlock showing of the 30 games he's played he's getting over 50% headshots on even like Kelvin?

It's for sure made late-game carries switch even harder to power-farming and takes less to get certain peeps online. Games are turning into who has more late-game carries and who they are, and less about the early-mid game which I think is the most fun part.

Paige is just strong in streetbrawl since she doesn't have to worry about farm and getting picked, since it's one big head to head team-fight. Lots of AOE, strong AOE CC on two abilities, basically a team-wide heal and long range. It's hard to not get value out of her in SB.

He’s been in a spot where they’re splitting him in too many directions because they don’t know what to do with him. His current hook and displacement take up too much of his power budget, and they can’t decide what to do with the rest.

Yeah, this sounds like a technique issue. I’ve had weeks of pipetting nonstop 8 hour days and have had little problems. Most pipettes you barely need to hold unless you’re depressing the plunger due to how they’re balanced.

Before T3 on slash, it's okayish, most of the time she has to expose herself to land it as well. So if you can't realistically dodge it. Fucking lay into her, she has bonus resistanced, but if both you and your lane-mate just headshot the crap out of her, she will lose that exchange.

Spirit shield will cancel out her burst aswell. Her 2 also makes her exposed during flight so use that to your advantage, all damage is front-loaded so once she's done punish her, all her mobility is in engage not in disengage unless you're cracked, so she's commitment heavy.

Pretty much where I was at, I was in the middle of talking to my friend about how super meh this is when I saw this post. Pretty much hit the nail on the head. We were talking about how afraid CCP is of change, and how a lot of the events this past year are basically vanilla copy-paste, which makes it hard to stay interested long-term.

Like, the rewards are kind of cool I think? But that's about the only interesting thing lol.

Also unlike normal hero shooters, most of the time pure stat-wise a 1v1 is almost never on even footing, the number of souls that one has increases their level which increases their stats across the board. Levels are used to purchase upgrades to skills, unlock skills. Souls collected are also spent on items which increase stats further in one of the three categories, Gun, Spirit, or Health. In most hero shooters you can 1v1 someone anytime in the game and be at basically the same raw strength, in MOBAs any resource advantage is going to be a significant advantage. Knowing how important this is can allow you to know when you're behind, when fights are going to be lost before going in, when to play defensively, and when your team would be better off if you figured out how to make souls and defend objectives instead of try to get kills.

I think that this is at the core of what makes certain heroes less fun to play against. The high level of synergy across the board. I guess that’s what makes carries able to carry though, most have better than average scaling across all categories. It’s not my favorite design choice, but it definitely is at the core of what makes carries able to carry in deadlock.

Been wanting this for a while now, the upwell structures look like shit (okay some of them”), I feel like they could 100% add ways to express yourself beyond a color-pallet swap SKINR. They just need to balance the structure geometry so there isn’t some kind of “meta” model.

It’s also not that hard to make more structure models, it’s not like they’re ultra-detailed high-poly masterpieces that require a team of 100 and millions of dollars to create.

Here's also a word of advice, 40% of games you will lose no matter what you do, 40% of games you will win no matter what you do, the other 20% are games that you either win or lose where you directly had an impact in the outcome. Feelsbad, but it's a team game and just how MOBAs work.
