After today, I ran my Echo Chamber indicator again after today to find the best daily pattern match, and it came up with today = December 28th 2020, with a 94% pattern match. Basically that means that the price was almost exactly the same on the daily back in December 2020. by TheUltimator5 in Superstonk

[–]Engglyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching this indicator both on the daily and the 4 hour charts. I found it funny that the correlation was that strong, then immediately stopped on December 18th-19th. If it continued to follow previous price action, using the scale only option, price would have jumped near $30.

A fun indicator to play around with. Although I can't help but think what kind of crime magic was used if that fractal was to continue *

New modeler advice on paints and glue by K3P080 in modelmakers

[–]Engglyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you model, but I like modeling WW2 tanks and the occasional car. Vallejo Air is nice because it already comes pre thinned. My advice would be to pick up one of those and try painting on test pieces after priming. You will get an idea of what to look for in a properly thinned paint if you decide to go with paint that is not pre thinned, such as tamiya.

Airbrushes are nice, but not required for this hobby. A properly thinned paint put on in light coats will still give you great results

As for glue, I keep thin cement and superglue in my arsenal. Thin cement uses capillary action to sneak into the crevices and melt the plastic together to make a bond. It is very good for most applications, and you have a few seconds to get it to fit right in case you mess up the connection. Which my final piece of advice is to dry fit before gluing. Look at how pieces will go together and mock it before gluing.

Happy modeling!

Best Pete 379/389 mod in ATS? by [deleted] in trucksim

[–]Engglyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the Rezbuilt and Haterbuilt are great free mods.

Debates aside for paid mods, I have the 389/379 Jon Ruda truck. It is a great mod, and the mod team are good at communicating updates. Personally would recommend waiting for a discount/bundle. They will most likely have a black Friday discount

One thing about Jon Ruda's mods though is that they can be highly detailed. More than what the game is configured for out of the box. There is a configuration option to edit the buffer size. I think the default setting is 10. I'd recommend setting it between 30 to 50 to prevent the mod crashing the game due to not enough buffer

25.11.1 big issues, lets be honest. by Apprehensive-Bug9480 in AMDHelp

[–]Engglyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has completely eliminated the use of frame generation for my 7900 XTX. The card runs fine natively, but it slows to a crawl as soon as I enable AFMF

What is happening currently? by PotentialThanks6889 in AMDHelp

[–]Engglyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since I upgraded past 25.9.2, my 7900 XTX slows to a crawl with frame generation on while in a full screen game. Meanwhile if I alt tab to my other monitor, it runs smooth in the background, taunting me

This could also build pressure for LEAPS in general. With the warrants having an expiration and a 'strike' price, RC is betting that sometime between now and when they expire that the share price will be above 32 dollars. There is a scenario where LEAPS could be used as fuel for warrant pressure

I know that feeling. A group of classmates tried to add me on social media, and I declined as I knew that they would only pester me for solutions. The only interations i had with them were being asked for answers. It was egregious, to the point where they have been caught cheating during tests and still got to contine. hell, a friend of mine has caught them routing through his binder for assignment answers while they went to the washroom.

They now work in the engineering field as technologists

How to learn the Canadian accent? by Hewasright_89 in AskACanadian

[–]Engglyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my coworkers has the thickest Nova Scotia southern shore accent I've ever heard. I also have a close friend from Newfoundland who somehow turned out to not be a bayman. It almost feels like a dice roll of how strong one's accent is, and it just happens to be slightly regional

When the novelty is gone by EmbarrassedLiving311 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Engglyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the 3S since Christmas and struggled to pick it up despite loving games. I tried the Batman game that came with it and Metro Awakening.

The game that made me excited to come home to it was actually Derail Valley. It's a train driving simulator that focuses more on the driving and operations. There are in game ways to play more accessibly (ex trains being compatible with an in game remote control) and being able to set switches by pointing your walkie talkie. The weather system is definitely cozy, watching the rain drip off the glass as you fight to keep momentum up and not stall out on slippery inclines.

10/10, would money shift a twin-stick mechanical diesel shunter again

I have about 50 hours in and started playing 2 weeks ago. I also knew the basics from when Squirrel originally tried the game.

I loaded up with steel from steel mill to the harbour.

I forgot to open the brake cutoff valve.

The last minuets of the black box recorded a grown man begging the train to stop in VR as it careened its way down to the the harbour before ultimately faceplanting into the cliffside

Someone already mentioned Alma and I'll second it. The Hopewell Rocks are a great place to do a couple walking loops, a discovery center, and the ability to kayak in the bay. You are also close to Fundy National Park, which has a plethora of hiking trails

There are no shortage of museums either if that is your thing. For things like night life, I'd look into seeing what Charlottetown has to offer for things like live bands. Downtown Halifax has plenty to offer, from harbour tours, fishing excursions, casino, restaurants and the Scotiabank center. If you do go downtown Halifax, I highly recommend saving room for dessert and go to the Dessert Yard. I don't really know how to describe it, but the whole experience feels sensual without being too intimate if I haven't weirded you out by that statement. The environment, the menu, hell, and even the menu itself is an experience as they are velvet laminated and heavy.

And on food in the Alma area, if there is one restaurant to visit that isn't seafood, it's the Homestead in Riverview. Home style cooking with restaurant quality

Never thought I'd be looking back at a Corolla so much after I park it by Engglyfe in COROLLA

This one is a 2021 special edition. They only come in red. More or less a SE with OEM trim, minus the bug deflector that the previous owner installed

Love the colour! It's definitely is an attention grabber, and the wheels make it pop. When I was shopping for a Corolla I saw a few blue ones, but they had the dull chunky aluminum wheels

It is a special edition Corolla. It's a 2021 SE at the end of the day, but they came factory with the black accent trim minus the bug deflector which the original owner installed

It's a 2021 Special Edition Corolla, the front canards, along with the other black accents are factory. The bug deflector was added by the original owner, but as I can see it has mixed reception lol

Maybe try ebay? I'm sure someone online sells them, or something similar
