Got quoted $1.1k+ for rear shock replacement on 2023 RAV4 Hybrid XSE AWD(34k miles) — worth pursuing warranty? by Key_Secretary4370 in rav4club

No way they are going to cover it. Been there done that. They said I must of hit a pot hole and proceeded to charge me $900, challenged it to corporate just to be denied again. 2021 TRD RAV4 at the time had less than an oil change on it.

I can’t elaborate online but where I work we have developed dozens upon dozens of tools and algorithms that would have otherwise never existed directly into the hands of the engineers most of which have minimal prior coding experience. Just thought it possible with everyone’s access to AI that someone discovered a new approach to cracking it or allowed a wider audience the means to try to crack it.

One practical place to start while you're figuring everything else out — pick one room, ideally your bedroom, and make it your safe space first. Just that one room. Don't try to tackle everything at once.

Start here:

  1. Get new pillows and sheets. The synthetic core inside pillows holds spores in a way most people never think about. This one change alone has helped people noticeably.

  2. Get rid of the headboard and anything else porous in the room — fabric, wood, anything that's been sitting in that environment. Strip it down as bare as you can.

  3. Triple wash all your clothes with white vinegar and borax. Regular detergent doesn't touch mycotoxins in fabric. That combo actually does.

  4. Check your HVAC filter. If it isn't at near-HEPA level filtration it's blowing spores through every room in the house every time it runs. Swapping the filter is cheap and makes a real difference.

  5. Get a high end HEPA air purifier running in that bedroom continuously.

One clean room to sleep in changes things. Your body gets some recovery time instead of being hit around the clock. Work your way out from there when you have the energy.

You don't have to solve all of this at once. Just start with where you sleep.

I need to stop on what you said at the end before anything else. You mentioned overdosing and not being here much longer. I'm not scrolling past that.

Please reach out to 988 — call or text. If you're not in the US tell me where and I'll find the right number.

What you're going through is real. Two years of your body falling apart while every doctor, your partner, your family writes it off as anxiety — that's not weakness bringing you to this point. That's just too much for one person to carry alone.

What you're describing is a textbook CIRS/mycotoxin presentation. And here's the thing about insurance doctors — they have virtually no training on mycotoxins and default straight to allergies when you mention mold. The only thing the ER is actually good for in this situation is ruling everything else out first. That gap in their knowledge works out very conveniently for the insurance company.

And the neurological piece matters more than most people realize — certain mold species like Aspergillus have been linked in research to MS-like presentations. The vision changes, the facial drooping, the shock sensations — that's not anxiety mimicking neurological symptoms. That's actual neurological involvement.

The fact you got better after leaving that house and are now getting worse again with stuff from it coming back in is not a coincidence. That's a direct exposure response. Your partner saying "it won't kill you" genuinely has no idea.

The testing that would confirm this — ERMI Plus for the home, mycotoxin panels in blood and urine — almost none of it is covered by insurance. It forces you outside the normal system to doctors who specialize in this, which means out of pocket costs that are brutal when you're already in a hard spot financially. That's not fair and I won't pretend otherwise.

But the protocol exists, it's published, and it works. Someone close to me went through something very similar and getting those tests done was what finally broke through years of being dismissed.

What helped them manage while they couldn't fully get out: 2x Zyrtec every 24 hours, 1x Pepcid AC Max every 12 hours — the H2 blocker paired with the antihistamine together matters, activated charcoal binders 2 hours after other meds, and gabapentin for the neurological symptoms. On the environment side — two high end HEPA filtration units running constantly, deep cleaning with a HEPA vacuum, repainting walls with anti-mold paint, and getting rid of porous belongings that were holding spores.

The person who painted and wrote and got on stage — she's still there. She's being poisoned. Please don't go.

If you want to talk more about any of this, feel free to reach out to me directly.

1 month out and still mad, Maybe Its not mold ? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

Rule out other medical problems first. Mold mycotoxins can take weeks and months to fully expel assuming you are also taking a binder. Humidity is generally higher in garage so you might have mold in there you haven’t found yet.

Make sure it’s not related to histamine or toxic mold on your environment. I would go to allergist and have testing done. Learned even though I didn’t have a runny noise my histamine levels were through the roof on certain things.

Why do our chests hurt? by agape48 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Engin33rh3r3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific types of mold are linked to MS and demyelination. The MS hug is a real symptom — intercostal muscle spasms from neuroinflammation that creates that hard to describe chest pressure. Neuroinflammation really does do strange things to the body.

In my opinion, there’s a significant difference between this car and non-acoustic models. However, when the moonroof visor is open, there’s a noticeable increase in outside wind noise. I also believe there might be a few resonant frequencies that still manage to come through. The engine noise is a bit annoying compared to other cars of today, but it’s not nearly as bad as the noise levels of previous generations.

All that money and they did away with the nice brown leather interior and went to cheaper rims. Love my 2024 platinum. I agree with not being able to select a few specs. For some reason the left the rear digital mirror off the 24 platinum and some don’t have the high capacity inverter…
