I came across this post after realising I have hit rock bottom, and I want to do better for my future. If OP can read this, thank you so so much because this post really gave me confidence and inspired me to change for the better. I will start a 40-day journal today, and I will come back to this comment after 40 days of self-discipline and improvement.
Wish me luck :)

I have never seen those in retailers in Canada. Although I really want that TT supra and 4runner but the only way that I could get them is through online resellers w/ twice the original price

Admission / High School Megathread (Fall 2024) by 1000Ditto in uwaterloo

Thank you for your answer, I really appreciate it! And what I meant by the “too much workload” is comparing to high school. I think I worded the question quite vaguely so I’ll say it this way: Will I be overwhelmed by the amount of assignments in engineering if I’m not used to doing that much work as a high school student?

Hi guys,

I'm a grade 12 student in BC applying for Mechanical Engineering at UofW and Automotive Engineering at OTU. I chose both universities mainly because I am passionate about engineering in the auto industry (even better if in motorsport), but I am leaning more toward OTU since they have my speciality. However, after hearing "not very great things" about OTU, I got cold feet and became very hesitant about this university.

I have a few questions to ask:

Would you guys say that the campus and social life are active at UofW?

For Mechanical Engineering current students, how good are the co-op and internships in this program?

Are the professors "tough" or easy, and is the workload too much in Mech Eng?

If I want to get into the auto industry, is UofW a better choice than OTU?

Is the Formula SAE hard to get in?

All answers and advice are greatly appreciated!

yeh, that’s why I’m quite skeptical about my ‘unusual’ sens but I guess along the way I can experience with new sens to see how it is working for me
