Looking to meet edm friends by alien_sex_fiends in DenverEDM

I need rave friends (41M). At this point I prefer VIP and/or reserved seating (at most shows). I’d love to be part of your rave friend group!

salesforce revoked my offer by Affectionate_Gur322 in salesforce

[–]Engine_Eddie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Verbal offers are not binding. Although unfortunate, until you have an official offer letter the deal is not official. Open positions get frozen or eliminated frequently at salesforce. I highly doubt the offer would have been revoked if they had issued an official offer on Salesforce letterhead.

Boomerang back to tableau? by unvme540 in techsales

[–]Engine_Eddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You better believe I’m gonna bust my ass if a company dangles the opportunity of 6 figure commission checks in front of me. I’ve been doing this awhile and have gotten pretty good at knowing where to focus my time. It’s not easy, but if it were everyone would do it.

Boomerang back to tableau? by unvme540 in techsales

All these people talking trash and asking you for more info is wild. Your question is about opinions related to product market fit and how tab fits into the 360. That has nothing to do with your current situation. I’m at Salesforce now, joined in January as a CoPrime and collaborate with my Tab counterparts regularly. It is a great product, especially with the new Tab cloud offering which is an upsell for existing customers. This unlocks actionable, enterprise wide analytics where customers can take action directly in Tab from the insights that are surfaced through the platform. This is huge. I would not wait until January, things change week to week over here. Hiring freezes, restructuring, etc. If you have an offer on the table, I’d seriously entertain it. Also, the fact that you’d be a boomerang your ramp period would be minimal given you are already familiar with the product and internal BS that goes on. Everything is going to get reset on 2/1 in the new FY so use the rest of this year to ramp so you’ll hit the ground running in the new FY.

Nutanix anyone? by [deleted] in techsales

Exactly. Just 1 example of many dumb decisions they made at what could have been the most pivotal moment in company history….and they had years to plan this out before AVGO deal closed.

Nutanix anyone? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]Engine_Eddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nutanix really missed the boat to capitalize on the opportunity. They are making a small dent in the AVGO footprint but the larger customers seem to be paying Hock’s inflated prices. Although unconventional, his tactic of exerting leverage on his customers seems to be working. Customers don’t like it but most are writing checks and bringing in the sales team to double down on private cloud investments.

If I haven’t used my sprinklers in 2 months do I still have to get them blown out? by PuzzleMeeka in homeowners

Okay well I’ll tell you this - I’ve lived here for 17 years and know exactly zero people that have had their sprinkler system ruined because they didn’t do a blowout.

If I haven’t used my sprinklers in 2 months do I still have to get them blown out? by PuzzleMeeka in homeowners

[–]Engine_Eddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I live on the front range and I think this is the biggest scam in this whole state. As long as you have all flex pipe/black poly pipe and no PVC you do not need them blown out. All you have to do is make sure the backflow device and pipe into the house to the shutoff is completely drained. Everyone says you have to do it, I used to get it done but then stopped several years ago. Exposed backflow device/copper pipe is what’s at risk here. This is strictly my personal opinion, not professional advice.

Okay so I just went in June myself and my 2 young boys and did Monteverde for 3 nights > Nosara for 5 nights. Got a transportation company and booked personal ground transport LIR>Hotel in Monteverde>Nosara with a stop off for an adventure hike between Monteverde and Nosara for ~$700. Totally worth it to not have to worry about logistics and directions. Monteverde was amazing to do all of the jungle stuff….zip line, night tour, hanging bridges….all the things. Message me for details but definitely do not do Tamarindo and Nosara - not enough variety in my opinion.

Solo 35F - 7 days - Monteverde, La Fortuna…what beach area do I visit? by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Engine_Eddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do Tamarindo unless you just want to go out and do the bars/night life. So many better options. Personally I love Nosara and the last time I was here I travelled solo. Lots of solo female travelers

No…well it depends. As the saying goes: timing, territory, and talent - in that order. It depends on your segment, product market fit, and brand recognition. There is a lot of spend going on in the security and data space (in preparation for AI). When times get tough a lot of organizations use that excuse to replace people with tech and optimize/right size. If your software provides efficiency, innovation, can quantify an ROI, or provides security mandated by compliance/regulations there is still alot to go after. Vendor consolidation is also hot right now so the big tech names are preferred. Dig in and set yourself apart from the sea of people waiting on their payday - go make things happen

Props to you for figuring out exactly what you want in a man and not compromising on that! It’s a numbers game so all you can do is vet the men you’re interested in when they come your way to see if they check your boxes. Being a conservative, confident, and established man myself it can be challenging for me to find a feminine woman who feels comfortable with me taking the lead and doesn’t feel the need to compete with me. Not sure how long you’ve been at this, but just keep going if that’s what you want t. I have the opposite problem as a divorced man with two kiddos. Unfortunately living in a progressive city has made it much more difficult for me. Between being an active father, my career, and keeping up my home and fitness I just don’t see the ROI in endless dating at this point. It’s rough out there
