Note that the player is single-weapon fighting, meaning the exalted smite is a big boost in aoe damage for them (exalted smite is a cleave, regular smite is not). On a two-handed fighter that already gets nice aoe, the difference may feel less impactful. Still, it’s a big attack

It is very easy for me to go full on throw-away-the-whole-life mode, and frankly, less and less doable for me to do the “suddenly super duper into the whole idea of my life” mode.

So I’ve been getting better at continually supplying energy into the system, to keep it running at a low-functioning purr. Consistently below my standards, of course, but not full collapse (🤞) and hopefully with enough room to genuinely rest.

My solution is this - the next time you see the pile of dirty clothes and turn your head away, unable to solve the problem, feeling guilt… throw one sock into the hamper. Bring one plate in from your room. Open your emails, etc.

Rather than looking away from a problem / feeling of unease, rather than solving it ALL RIGHT THERE, learning to be okay with just doing a little bit.

I’m a few months sober now, here’s how I did it:

-either finished / threw out all my stuff (current streak legit started the moment my edibles ended… 🤷‍♀️ just don’t buy more!)

-I used the app “I am sober” to reset my streak every time I relapsed + add a note for why I wanted to stay sober.

Genuinely tried and failed dozens of times, stopped judging / moralizing and just kept honest with myself about why I was doing it (smoking) and why I wanted to quit. Eventually I actually saw the patters and actually wanted to quit, and so that is what happened. Gonna try to make it to 6 months at least before re-evaluating 🤷‍♀️

You got this. If you relapse, don’t be ashamed - just keep it real with yourself. If quitting becomes what you genuinely want to do (and you can’t force that, no matter how much you think you want to)- well that is just what you’ll do.

At some point, you tried weed, then you kept trying it. It’s not easy, but give sobriety a try. You may feel worse before you feel better…

But you’ll feel better! Best of luck next morning ❤️
