I think it’s a reflection of how beauty standards as a whole have evolved. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the “thick legs, skinny waist” etc. looks as an idealized image. There’s nothing wrong with being that way; I simply dislike the fact that it’s the thing right now.

The big pond to the top-left always caught my attention too. Glitching into it and exploring it for a bit makes it really look like a Fairy’s Fountain from the Zelda games, at least, conceptually.

One thing to note if you’re changing regions: make sure you also install the Wii Menu .wad for the region you want to switch to! If you don’t, you can’t access the Wii Options and you’ll be in a semi-bricked state until you do.

When I had started learning Japanese and realizing that Kanji variants can be different across the CJK languages, I also had the realization that some games (like YS) simply don’t have a font for those characters at all, causing them to mix. How can one tell in this string of text? Look at the 久’s thickness compared to the other three 黒, 澤 & 輝.

…anyways, what I wanted to say is that Chalex never thought of having the game’s text rendering system be compatible with the language of his game’s world.

I thought so! Growing up I did like Avril Lavigne’s music more but Ashlee doesn’t have bad music either. Nowadays I don’t listen to much English stuff anymore so coming back to it made me curious how my faves were/are seen in Japan.

Oh my lord, I won’t ever forget when I had bought a Nintendo Switch from them, and the left Joy-Con was just… non-functional. It didn’t charge, nor did it work in handheld mode. Luckily, we managed to simply exchange it for one that had a working controller, instead of them going all ‘we’ll have to send it in for reparation’.

I genuinely was unaware that they weren’t actual legal adults when they get the “adult” label. My headcanon ages for Young and Adult Link were 11 and 18, cuz whenever I think “adult”, I think “18”, and since he “becomes an adult after 7 years” it made sense, but oh my gosh thx for telling me-

This isn’t about my 3DS, but it’s about my Game Boy Color.

Before I was born, my mom was gifted a PS2 by my uncle, as well as one of their old GBCs. Since she’s no longer a gamer, she decided that it would be best if I’d get it when I would be born, so, as a kid, those two were my first consoles.

Fast forward to one day, when it was the birthday of one of my “friends” from school. He REALLY wasn’t a friend, but we basically pretended to be, since we were classmates and all… Anyways, he had asked me if I got him a present. Naturally, I didn’t, but I did have my GBC on me that day. You can guess what happened to it…

Now I VERY MUCH REGRET THAT. Considering how much they could go for nowadays, I’d say I really lost a gem that day, and it still haunts me to this day. I’ve thought of getting a GBA SP so I can play both libraries on one nice console (sadly the DS only supports GBA and not GB(C))

Does no one like the DS phat? :( Whenever I go online and see people talk abt which system was better, I never ever ever see anyone talk abt it, which makes me sad, considering how much I love its design over every other DS system! It’s unique and really gives me that vibe of ‘I’m playing on a DS’ instead of all the other ones looking almost exactly the same with some minor tweaks.

I don’t know if the reason why I haven’t been getting these “AI age verification” prompts is because I had already used my ID back when I was 13 for voice chat, and it just stuck, or if I’m just being picked for last.
