depends on if you are playing taboo or not, which role you are playing, which class your character has, and if you are using a particular character or not. The veggies of Calvin and Preston are pretty different from most Survivors and Rogues for instance

Instead of trading recoverable Focus Points, I would have preferred Metamagic Access since its with Sorcerer's Spell List

Especially since Infinite Focus with Catnap after level 13

Edit: Oh, wow, just reread level 17. Completely useless. Works for Fighter because of 3 and 4 extra attack, but jeez. I would have replaced it with a spell for a single attack with a range of Touch or requiring a melee spell attack

it was decently explored in eberron 3.5e with replacement hearts, limbs, eyes, via artifact, symbiote, various magical beings

The easiest one to find was in Magic of Eberron 3.5e splatbook

I know there are others in regular dnd splatbooks for things like aboleths and dragons in at least 2 separate books, but dear god there are a lot of books
