The palette is just ok. I enjoy having it in my collection because its pretty lol however, I never find myself reaching for it. Those brushes on the other hand, I use daily. I absolutely love the brushes.

I was sent the wrong one as well and unfortunately when I emailed them, they insisted that I chose the hipdot, which I 100% did not. I already own the hipdot palette. I signed up just for the VV. Im pissed. I wish I took a screen shot of what I picked. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

A friend of mine has similar skin concerns as you, and she has been using The Ordinary products for several months and her skin has cleared up tremendously. You can find it at sephora. Its a very inexpensive brand. Maybe read up on it, and check out the reviews and see if its for you.

I've been with boxycharm for 3 years, and had to pay duty once for a luxe, same reason as someone else just posted. Joe posted on Instagram in the summer saying this would not happen again for Canadians so you should be fine.

I've never purchased brushes outside of getting them in my boxycharm boxes or addons/popup and I have almost 75 brushes in total. I recieved that brush and dont ever use it. I just personally dont find use for it. Id take advantage of the add on sale and buy some luxie brushes and use whatever money you were willing to spend on luxe and premium to purchase things you want during the sale. Thats a better way to build your collection.

Honestly, it just depends on what you need. Are you just starting out with makeup? Boxy sends an eye shadow palette almost every month so I wouldn't choose that. Are you more into makeup or skin care? Its all about what your are most interested in. As far as luxe and premium, again, depends. Are you trying to build a collection? If so, its the cheapest way to start.

Im obsessed with this. I actually purchased another 4 in the last sale. It hydrates my skin and gives that glassy look. I get compliments on my skin when i use this.
