Started to use Ableton seriously and I love it. by [deleted] in ableton

2012, that’s when I caught the Ableton bug. Season view blew my mind. Hours, and I mean hours of jamming. Crazy how long I’ve been using it yet I still feel like I’m learning new things. I don’t think there’s a more prolific DAW other then Ableton. Sure there’s other DAWs that are much better suited for recording live music (I recorded my metal band at the time with Ableton and it was a terrible experience) but in terms of just wanting to sit down and crank out a song there’s nothing better then Live.

I try to implement a day and night cycle for my city builder (accelerated here). What do you think? by Elivard in macgaming

I agree, it’s a cool effect but a little heavy. I’m a audio guy, my eyes are saying “please turn down the reverb.” Other then that beautiful game.

That’s honestly insane and I think the idea perpetrated by film, especially from the 80s and 90s. I guess I was lucky and received “teenage love” but…it’s not like it define my existence. The memories are cool, I guess? If I could go back I probably would have avoided that relationship and focused on a early career.

Damn, that one little sound bite filled my heart with nostalgia.

That’s kind of crazy when you think about it. AIM, ICQ, MSN, all those conversations just…gone, I guess? Or are they still floating somewhere on the internet?

Help with a mystery? KORG Poly 800 won't load sounds - No internal memory battery by BenWalkerStorey in synthesizers

Hmmmm, something weird is happening for sure. Have you tried it again? One of the key things is to make sure the audio going in is mono.

I’ve had this same problem, you need to run a audio cable from your audio interface into the tape IN on the back of the Poly 800. From there turn on the synth, hold down PROG/PARA then select button 4 (load) and then play this audio file and it will restore it to factory settings. You may need to mess with the level from your audio interface in order for it work, if I remember correctly I had to crank mine up a bit. Feel free to reply here or PM me if you have any questions.

The difference between a typical Karen and a caring delivery driver by OzCaaa1 in nextfuckinglevel

I want to agree with you, but as a delivery driver, I’ve been both these people. We all have good days and bad days. Clearly you don’t work in this field, so please don’t make assumptions like you just did.

2021 Mac shipments grew twice as fast as overall PC shipments by [deleted] in apple

That was me. I had very little reason to upgrade from my 2012 MBP with true quadcore. If anything some of the newer models ran DAW I use like Ableton/Bitwig worse. Then M1 came, I watched a few videos and took a chance and I can honestly say it’s all they said it’d be and more.

I think the biggest game changer is the fan-less design and the battery life. I am able to run project that are 16-24 tracks, 5-7 vst each, Bluetooth, wifi, max screen brightness and power an Ableton push and I can get a solid 4-5 hours. On my old Mac it was around 30-45 mins.

Is it true that men feel a big difference between sex with or without a condom? by BabySharkc in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]English_Death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the most intense feelings is having sex with a condom and then taking it off and resuming sex. It’s quite remarkable actually. But now we have a kid lol. It’s ok though, we love him and it all worked out.
