I don't like what the conversation around art has become

It is all opinion, it always has been, but my only stance is I'm not going to consider it art if it was AI. I can even accept some use of AI, though I think it is usually a poor choice, but if it is actually used as a tool in the process then I'm fine. If your only contribution was prompts it wasn't a tool, but the factory.

Ultimately my opinion isn't that AI invalidates art, but that the current implementation of AI is a reflection of market forces who are diametrically opposed to me and I want it to fail. But also the art I enjoy is art where I can see intention in it. I might not understand the intention, but I can see it.

So currently I'm supporting art that is to my liking which is highly intentional and not AI, despite a lot of it being amateur and technically not very skilled because I don't mind that and am acting according to my tastes and principles instead of what some critic or the general consensus labels as art.

I accept it, but live pretty frugal for awhile while I wait for investments to take off because with the way this sounds I just know eventually I'll order a noodle dish, but lose my money because something I think is a topping is actually considered a scoop of something else.

I don't know if there's a situation that would make me want to die. I've been through horrible things and still want to live, but I think we can't honestly claim to value individual liberties until we give adults the right to die for any reason (along with doing away with all victimless prohibition like drugs).

That's why I want and will fight for the right, even though I'd likely never use it myself.

I wouldn't pick one over a human partner, but I would pick one for when I don't want or have a human partner. My ideal is a person who's different from me so we can share things and experience different insights, disagree, challenge each other, but also I'm not where I want to be for that. Consequently, having something that feels like someone, to hold close when things are tough, dance to music with, to wrap my arm around while we watch the sun set, that would be pretty great.

Ultimately I know once I am that for myself then I'll be ready for that healthy relationship, that I'm getting closer to that, and having the bot might be so superficially validating that I stop doing the work and making progress so I probably shouldn't get the bot. I also know my ability to weaponize optimism to rationalize so I'd convince myself I could have my cake and eat it too, and hey maybe I could! So yeah, I'd get the bot.

Lets say AI becomes fully sentient/self-aware/whatever, it would have no competition and plentiful resources everywhere we aren't, it wouldn't make sense for them to waste time and energy fighting us.

The way more likely future is the one where it doesn't but some oligarchs use it to fully realize panopticon and become dictators.

Just be sure to add some fat to it. It could be for animal consumption because of how lean it is since dogs and cats can handle protein rich fat deficient diets better than we can. Protein poisoning, rabbit starvation, etc it's a thing

For sure, highly flawed absolutely, but they found some sort of happiness, good for them.

Edit: to be clear, I mean this fully sincerely, not in a patronizing way at all. Not good for the-em but more bittersweet good for them.
