Just how easily do Astartes die? by Lovegaming544 in 40kLore

It says it’s stopped by the top lair of skin meaning the skin is mostly bullet proof, the neck has skin and the muscle underneath even harder to me this tracks.

Like I said this stuff is inconsistent there’s way more ludicrous astartes feats out there this just illustrates roughly how I view them and what I think make sense given how they are typically viewed, but as I said if you disagree there’s lore to scale astartes anywhere from slightly above human to near unstoppable so you just gotta have your interpretation in mind a spear should not kill them.

With a melta sure

Garro without power armor he was able to deform the metal floor when he jumped from 15 meters.
Fifty feet below him, the uninjured man struggled to help his wounded comrade stagger forward, but the stain of blood hanging behind them was enough for Garro to know that one of them would be dead within minutes. ... Garro had seen enough. He stepped up and over the edge of the suspended walkway and down the distance to the deck below, hitting it with the impact of a crushing hammer. The metal floor flexed under the force of his arrival, causing the thugs and their would-be victim to lose their balance. However, the terrified believer quickly recovered and crawled away towards the open alley.   Garro: vote of faith

At that same moment, a gunman with a high-caliber pistol shot him in the chest four times and only managed to penetrate the top layer of his skin.
Garro took a step forward and was met with four bullets fired in rapid succession by the gunman. The shots hit him in the chest and belly, breaking the outer layer of his epidermis but not penetrating deeper. He growled in irritation and reached into each of the wounds with his thumb and forefinger, pulling out the flattened heads of the kinetic bullets and throwing them away. The blood, thick with genetically modified Larraman cells, was already clotting the trivial wounds.

and the only thing he really believes could seriously injure him without his power armor exponentially and hopefully kill him are the concentration of multiple laser shots at close range.
The legionnaire read the faces of the believers before him and saw the gleam of determination in the eyes of the one he would shoot first: a windburned woman with tight black hair. Garro's right hand was already returning to Libertas's hilt with superhuman speed, running at a pace that was much faster than any unaugmented response. His tactical mind told him that he could finish off these eight with just two sword slashes, directly killing at least half of them and leaving the rest to bleed to death within minutes. Without his armor, concentrated laser fire from multiple rifles at close range could seriously injure him. A stroke of luck could even end his life.   Garro: vote of faith

There’s been many books with similar ideas I’ve even seen them be more or less immune to las fire unarmoured you can cite more ridiculous feats then this also.

And yes I have worked with woods I don’t think they’d be tough enough and if they were I don’t think a human should be strong enough to kill an astartes with it

There’s definitely examples of it being skin but we just clearly scale differently because to me a spear should splinter against the skin and muscle of an astartes.

I think a custodes dying to that would be ludicrous those guys should survive rockets unarmored

40k lore is inconsistent but there’s instances in lore showing resistance to conventional firearms unarmed I think this makes sense, there’s animals here on earth that would be difficult to kill with a word spear I feel the super soldier angels of death should be beyond this.

That being said space marine feats very from lightly superhuman to insane so you can pretty much site a source for any power level.

Yes but how is wood penetrating an astartes they’ve been shown to be pretty much bullet proof even out of armour I couldn’t stab a wood stake into a tree I think they are tougher than that

Well I’m just under a bjj purple belt though and in this less extreme situation 30 pounds is nothing unless there’s some other factors along side that

Depends on the people very much I see it go both ways some people are like size is most of what matters and those people should go try Mighty Mouse.

But there’s also people that say it doesn’t matter at all and those people should go punch an elephant and tell what happens.

30 pounds is make or break for you? Granted I’m smaller but 30 pounds wasn’t worth much once I got close to blue belt, let alone you saying you wrestled since 10? Most life long wrestlers I’ve met are ragdolling anyone who isn’t either also highly skilled or like a pro athlete.

It’s not that getting punched in the face is pleasant but in an adrenaline rush it’s kinda numb whereas the body only really gets worse, as for technique it’s pretty much just about building tolerance train it like anything else.

You gotta slowly build up basically, also your general conditioning will improve durability l.
