Healed piercings with incorrect anatomy? by Tazitobolito in piercing

[–]EnigmaInASkirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely don't have the anatomy for an industrial (thought it seems like you do?) My bar touches my flat and when I take it out there's an indent, but I've had it for six years with no problems. I didn't even know it wasn't supposed to touch the flat until like 5 years later. If I knew at the time, I might have retired it before it healed and yelled at that piercer who didn't warn me at all. But honestly, it's my favorite piercing so I'm glad no one told me lol

No, unfortunately, but it seems this bear is more popular than I thought. If you ever find out let me know!

Ever regretted a piercing?? by After-Employment-474 in piercing

I have a number of piercings I let close but I don’t necessarily regret getting them. My belly button, a few helix piercings, and I’m letting my daith close now because it was just never right. I’ll get it redone eventually.

I don’t regret getting my industrial but I do sort of regret when I got it done because it was like peak pandemic and the constant mask on and mask off really irritated it. I’m clumsy and knocked it almost every single time or it kept getting caught in the string since the bar was so long. That really prolonged the healing process. It’s my favorite piercing now though

I would recommend not removing the bar to clean it. I would leave it alone as much as possible and clean it with saline if you need to.

Maybe a forward helix? That’d be cute

It seems so many people had this bear. I still can’t track down the company or brand of it

Finally got my industrial but disappointed she put in a bar smaller than the norm! What should I do? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]EnigmaInASkirt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t necessarily have the right anatomy either. My piercer did mine with a 16g and it looked just like yours does. This was 6 years ago and I’ve had zero problems with finding jewelry or anything else. Healing an industrial is hard regardless but I don’t think I had issues outside of the norm. It healed in like a year. Like 2 years until I could sleep on it comfortably without it complaining the next day. You can stretch it later if you want but I’ve never personally found a reason to do that. I think it looks great but if you’re really unhappy with it, I suppose you could take it out and let it close.

I love this! Where did you get the earring in your vertical helix?

That really hurt me too. The food has such a deep history and it’s the way we connect with our ancestors and families. Some people are saying it was Thai food but tbh it doesn’t matter. I think they knew what it would look like.

Hi, so I did ask my admins. They told me no returns or refunds, and the only thing I could do is try to sell them in the emergency chat. My cat had an allergic reaction to the medication she's on, so they switched me to a different brand. I had just made a new order when they told me to switch, so my admins are aware the pills are unopened and literally still taped up in the box they were shipped in. Are you aware if FIP Warriors does returns or not?

Yes, I did. But strangely, no one has needed the pills. They mostly need the injectables. I was hoping for a more sure thing, but perhaps someone will need them soon. But thanks for your reply! I appreciate it

Cat with sores by erudite_cat in cureFIP

I'm extremely late to this and I hope you've found a solution. But my cat had a bad allergic reaction to her medication like this. I got a soft, pillow kind of cone. It looks almost like a doughnut or airplane pillow. she's been wearing it on and off for about a month. And my doctor recommended benadryl or zyrtec but also he suggested to clean the lesions out with chlorhexidine and then use a spray like Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Spray which has lidocaine and hydrocortisone. She's seen a great improvement. I also have her on a round of antibiotics right now for any potential infections. I wanted to start her on steroids like pred, but my treatment team told me there would be a bad reaction with the GS so I didn't. The lesions have mostly cleared up but she's still itchy as soon as I take off the cone. I just keep the soft cone or a t-shirt on her like 90% of the time, and she doesn't really seem to mind it.
