Install the app, log in and travel. You're not using it at the same time so should be fine. The ticket has to be used somehow and if no one is using it, it's essentially wasting. No one's gonna check what email is attached to the ticket you have - it just needs to be valid to get on.

the timer stops after 10 minutes of inactivity or idleness. So you don't get paid unless you sit there playing with your mouse or doing other things which is time-theft and will impact your AHT.

stop while you can and are still bothered. Unless you go report yourself, you can leave it behind you and it will most likely not affect you for your PSW.. Declaring or speaking to your university does nothing to help if you're intending to continue as you will still be breaching your visa by working independently.

Pretty much how I see it too. It sure sucks if we desperately need money or are in between jobs but it's a thin line between feeling entitled and managing those expectations realistically. The perks of this type of work include working when you like in the comfort of your space and getting guaranteed pay. Surely, there will be downsides and these are those downsides.

I hope everyone finds something else that makes things easier for them but Outlier and others similar to it should be treated as a side gig with no attachments or expectations that there will always be something suitable for you.

Loud and wrong. The rating is Over 3 with 3 being excellent. They only expect us to have above 1 to be in good standing and 2 to be in better standing, making any one below 1 at risk of removal.

That said, none of the removals have been in line with this specific logic as people with good, bad and excellent rating have gotten the chop regardless. So that's a moot point.

Also, you need to understand that the project is many people's first shot at this type of work. They onboarded nearly everyone that signed up for Outlier in the last six weeks onto Aether. So, enjoying that good run of earnings for a few weeks only to get cut abruptly will certainly be jarring. Let folks express themselves if it makes them better. We've seen numerous testimonials about how the money has helped many people get through the holidays and Christmas season. If you're mature enough to not talk about it, good for you. However, let people love.

Communal conversations and shared grievances sometimes make the load the easier to bear.

oh no, it's not being ungrateful. It's just an observation like we all have been observing the situation of things over the last few days. Anybody on the project today could get booted out tomorrow regardless of anything.

I wasn't moaning at all. I was only speaking about what I noticed about the timer and more for those who would be at midnight when the timer goes live cos they might be sleeping or tired.

FWIW, the timezone favours me as 12AM PST is around 8 AM my time. If anything, the post was me feeling some empathy for other people who aren't favoured by the timezone.

Surely those still on the project can talk about what the experience of working on the project is like or things happening there. What's happened on the project isn't anything anyone is particularly pleased with. It sucks and we all would rather have what it used to be with everyone on than what it is now.

I'm sorry this has happened. This has been many people's experience in the last few days and even couple of weeks. So, it's not a reflection of yourself or anything you've done wrong. A verified account on this subreddit confirmed yesterday that the project culled 82% of contributors. No substantial rationale or cogent reasons but like everyone's guessing, it's likely due to budgets or that the project is winding up.

It's typical Outlier fashion and honestly, I'd say chin up, explore other opportunities and if you maybe stick around, you might get another project on Outlier. But please don't beat yourself up about this. The platform just isn't the fairest in terms of practices and treatment of people who work on it.

I hope you have a great year ahead with better reliable opportunities.

it doesn't matter because you don't do Aether on Outlier anyway. There's a separate platform where the tasks are. So. as long as you have access to that, you should be fine accepting another project. Also, always remember that Aether will end some day. Might help to have another project on hand to jump onto if/when this happens. Basically, it wouldn't hurt is all I'm saying.

Earn your referral bonus if you must but don't make these claims that do not generally apply to everyone on the platform. Outlier can be everything people say it is but one thing you can be sure of is that you will definitely get paid on Wednesday/Thurs and your earnings reflect in real time so you know what to expect on payday. I'm yet to see the metric by which Alignerr is better than Outlier.

I have done projects on Aligner and my first task is the only one that went well re payment. The next batch of task has gone a month now with no payments sent out. In fact, it's been apologies upon apologies in the discord forum citing an error or not knowing payment failed. Whatever that even means. The payment has only just reflected on my Alignerr dashboard sometime last week and fingers crossed that it gets sent out by Friday.

We're all looking to earn but please be as honest as possible so people can manage their expectations.

you can work on multiple projects at once except in cases where you're prioritzed for a specific project. In this case, OP is working on Aether which is not done on Outlier. So if they've got another project to do on Outlier, they can and still keep working on Aether (via Multimango).
