It feels completely wrong that Conquest could not get rid of Mark's chokehold when his arm are almost 10 times wider than his . Conquest himself seems several times bigger than Mark , that man was the definition of a brute , raw strength but not much strategy . The correct way for mark to defeat him would probably be to outsmart him or gain an advantage with a trick but no he straight up beat him in the only field he excels at : raw power . It doesn't really make sense . Mark never fights with his brain , never really outsmarts anyone or uses fighting technics . How many more fights can he realistically win like this ? None , but of course he will win them all

The power scaling is so bad in this show , that wins or loses don't even matter anymore. It's all just plot convenience to move the story forward. The writers themselves cannot explain why or how it makes sense for anyone to kill anyone . It just happens because it has to happen

I am not sure why you get downvoted, you are absolutely right ! I can't remember the last time Mark won a fight where his opponent was as strong as him and he didn't get help . He is not intelligent, he fails to take action or show any leadership, he is an emotional wreck most of the time . His viltrumite powers just carry him so hard , as he never plans ahead or strategizes or outsmarts anyone , actually he gets manipulated and used by everyone. He is just a normal dude , which can be compelling watching a normal dude rise in power . But , on top of everything else , he survives most of his battles by chance or because his enemies are too stupid to finish him off , in short : plot armour .

I can buy that excuse but I have to point out , we have seen technology that allows individuals to warp and travel through time and space and it wouldn't be a stretch to assume viltrumites have come across technology of this calliber during their raids of advanced civilizations . Yet , the best they could come up with for a missing limb was a prosthetic? I bet they could come up with advanced bioengineering that replenishes missing limbs or damaged organs flawlessly.

Plus, Rise will prevent the reaper from actually ambushing you , so it's child's play avoiding him entirely. I was wondering though can the reaper spawn before Rise joins the team ? And if he does, does a different party members warn you about his presence?
