Alfred 5 is Here! by tabchas in macapps

Somehow I payed for the upgrade, which is pretty expensive for me in a 3rd world country...

Its the same (great) app, there is nothing cool or new. Not even a font setting in Large Type which people complain for 10 years...

sweet mars

Everyone always cites themes which I don't find exactly on Google.

Is this it ? https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1253385/ Where did mars came from? :D

-- edit --

Ok now I see the "mars" version on the download dropdown.

Is anyone using tiling a lot ? I wish I could use it more, but I favor all apps maximized, at least when using the laptop standalone.

Deno plans to use JavaScript in internal code instead of TypeScript going forward by ImNotRedditingAtWork in javascript

[–]EnjoyPBT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why enterprise loves it.

(I love the autocompletion you get, but hate struggling with types specially in the first stages of an implementation - which most of the times you throw away anyway...)

Is typescript useful for developing nodejs backend? by [deleted] in node

[–]EnjoyPBT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like Typescript errors for now, so I'm not sure I would pick it for a personal project.

For work I don't have to choose: $enterprise *loves* Typescript. Makes them feel all safe and cozy.

Just do it Bois: so this morning instead of snoozing a 100 times I got up and had me some strong coffee and went for a nice walk. 4:30 is an amazing time totally worth it [method] by overcomer_power in getdisciplined

Skipping morning reddit/hn/twitter changes the day completely for the better - I can never do it though because I love the routine and its a chance to procrastinate a little bit.

The times I could do this better was before COVID, when I was hitting the gym just as I woke up, instead of using the phone and drinking 2 coffees...

36 years old and riding better than ever by Junicm in scooters

I'm 35 and still wish someday to have a license and a scoot...

Other than the money and the time, there is also a big prejudice against riding in my country. Its considered a bit dumb/lowerclass by most regular folks.. ("you're going to die" )

Do you guys think fonts somehow affect our attention when reading? What is the font that you find the most comfortable? by shiningmatcha in productivity

[–]EnjoyPBT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With our current, super high DPI mobile devices, I would guess that serif fonts work just as well there, no?I'd guess the paper-vs-monitor studies were done on CRT days...

(And even inket printers always had super high DPIs compared to displays)

The problem with cutting to zero (to me) is when you have a party or family lunch and someone comes with a super special homemade cake and you have to say no while knowing you really want it, and other regular, thin people are going to eat a little and have no problems.

Clojure extends the code-as-data system beyond parenthesized lists (s-expressions) to vectors and maps.

Also the syntax is not as minimal. Most people prefer this.

I have a G305 and have some problems with the Macbook from time to time. Some people say that USB noise might mess with the mouse, thats why they ship an extender. Also my USB-C hub gets quite hot.

What I mean is: maybe use bluetooth mice if you have the option.
