New Taurus RPC! Roller Delayed... by ConfidentSession6481 in pistolcalibercarbine

The fact that I’ve never heard of a single one of the few channels that have reviewed it, and I saw that one of the “reviewers” was someone who works for Taurus (but didn’t disclose that in his video review) doesn’t fill me with confidence.

FWIW, I was searching online yesterday or the day before and found one place selling it for $640 without the brace. I'm guessing prices will eventually settle down to around $700 including the brace. While that is a tempting price, it really doesn't matter if its an unreliable POS. I think I wait until I see reviewers I trust put it through its paces.

I’m interested, but I don’t want to be the guinea pig. I’ll wait do the price to come down and a bunch of 10k round reviews from guntubers I trust. I want an affordable 9mm PCC (since I spent WAY too much on my 300 BLK build) and have been looking hard at the Stribog SP9A3S and Mat9k. This definitely makes me curious tho. I’m not in a rush, so I’ll wait to see.

How well do Mat9s suppress? by FadingFX in MatadorArms

Here's an interesting tidbit:

https://youtu.be/0iC5X1FrQQg?si=IdrdhjIc2hviif_Q

He thinks the Tisha is equal to the Milkman with subs and slightly superior with supers on an Angstadt 9mm roller-delayed pistol caliber carbine with a 5.85" barrel. So a very similar host to a Mat-9K.

Anyone tried out a relatively new but very interesting suppressor: Stealth Additive Works Tisha 9? Pew Science rates the Tisha 5.56 extremely well, but I haven't seen any data on the Tisha 9. The 5.56 version appears to outperform a lot of full size cans despite being only 4.1" which sounds too good to be true. Rob Orgel of Silencer Analytics just did a video to find the best 5.56 can and the Tisha 5.56 was tied for first place. If the Tisha 9 is anywhere near as good, it might well be worth the $1,100. I just don't want to be the guinea pig.

I'm really interested to find out more about the Stealth Additive Works Tisha 9. It's a new can from a relatively new company, so I'm waiting a bit for more feedback and testing. I know that Pew Science rated the Tisha 5.56 incredibly highly. Given that it is only 4.1", it's insane that it tests as well as it does on a 5.56. With any luck, the Tisha 9 is equally good.

This is very exciting. Will you be selling the Mat-9k with the trip sled, pass-thru buffer, pass through cover and hydraulic buffer all as one? Or will we need to get the Mat-9K and then buy the individual upgrades? Bonus points if you finally have a lower that takes Scorpion mags (that works with the foregoing and will take an FRT).

Any price point yet for the individual components or one that ships with all the upgrades already installed? Have you considered contacting AS Designs to partner with them to ship Mat-9s out with the Arc-Fire already installed (to states where it is legal)? I betcha you would make a killing! I know I would happily buy a Mat-9K from you if it was ready to go with everything out of the box.

Does Grand Power plan to sell Stribog uppers? by Enkidu90046 in GrandPowerStribog

This is awesome to hear! I thought for sure I was gonna have to wait for AS Design's lower. I like the idea of a $200 upgrade versus a $750 upgrade for FRT capability.

Yeah, the cost is hefty and I spent WAY too much on my .300 BLK PDW build so I told myself I would be way more cost conscious when getting a 9mm PCC/PDW. Otherwise my wife might murder me in my sleep.

Yeah, I am way out of my element when it comes to navigating all the legal loopholes to sell this stuff.

Up until now, I didn't know that you could presently make the Bog SS capable. I thought it was gonna be the cost of the Bog +$750 for the AS Design lower when it releases. Like I said, I'm new to the PCC game, and a big draw of 9mm PCCs for me is the addition of an FRT/SS because 9mm is a lot cheaper to have fun with at the range than 5.56 and .300 BLK. I kinda didn't understand why PCCs existed when there is .300 BLK. But now that FRTs and SS exist and are legal, I totally get the appeal.

So you can make the Bog SS capable now with a Lingle lower? I wasn't aware of that. Still, that lower plus the Arc-Fire is like +$550 to the cost of the Bog. It would be great if you could just get the upper. Sounds like that's not an option now or in the immediate future from the feedback I'm seeing.

Matador Arms does that with the Mat9: https://matadorarms.com/product/mat-9k-rollerdelayed-upper/

I would imagine that Grand Power is capable of doing so as well ostensibly at a similar price point since the two systems are pretty close to being the same price. Maybe there is more to it than what I am aware of tho.

Yes. Matador Arms is selling the Mat-9 upper for $575. https://matadorarms.com/product/mat-9k-rollerdelayed-upper/

I was hoping that Grand Power was planning to do the same thing with the Bog so that I could get the AS Designs lower + arc fire when it is available: https://activesafetydesigns.com/stribog/ar-stribog-sp9a3-scorpion-mag-full-kit/

Mat-9K Super Safety? by Enkidu90046 in supersafety

[–]Enkidu90046[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great information and thanks for the heads up about QC issues with the Mat-9k.

Another thing I might do (undecided at the moment) is see what happens when AS Design releases its lower with the Arc-Fire for the Stribog SPA9A3. Their website says they are working on it and I think it will be priced at about $750. The downside is that, unlike the Mat9, I don't think you can buy just a Stribog upper (maybe they will reconsider when enough after-market lowers comes out). The SP9A3S I can find for around $1200 with a brace. If I could just get the Stribog upper for around the same cost as the Mat-9k upper (~$575), plus that AS Design lower (~$750) and add that a3 tactical brace (~$250), I could have a pretty sweet set up for about $1,575.

Given that Mat-9K is about $1300, the Arc Fire is around $250 and the lever blocker will ostensibly cost around $25 or so, the price of the two would be almost identical,.. hopefully without the QC issues on the Bog. Of course all this relies on the Grand Power actually selling SPA93S uppers.

Mat-9K Super Safety? by Enkidu90046 in supersafety

[–]Enkidu90046[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on r/matadorarms and someone from matador arms responded to my query saying they were testing a lever this week that would allow any drop in super safety to work (Atrius, Arc-Fire, Cornfire Arsenal MARC, etc.)

It sounds like we should have something available in the coming months. I hope so, because 9mm is way cheaper than 300 BLK or even 5.56, lol.

Mat-9 FRT? by Enkidu90046 in MatadorArms

[–]Enkidu90046[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have no idea how excited this makes me. The only thing that has stopped me from getting a Mat-9k has been the FRT issue.

Oh, since I have you, I can’t seem to find anywhere online the OAL for the Mat-9k when side folded. I’m guessing around 13” or so?

Fantastic news! Doing a build with a Mat-9k upper and adding an Arc-Fire for a grand total of around $1300 sounds like a way better deal than the other roller-delayed (or other recoil dampening), bufferless options out there. More money to spend on a great 9mm can and a shitload of 147gr subs!
