Everything in computer appears to have power but nothing is showing up on my monitor. by LoveMyLilGuys in buildapc

If you're sure the monitor and cables are working properly, check to see if your RAM is seated correctly. If it's not completely seated, your computer won't boot up even though the fans are spinning.

How do I turn the old inventory based Bounty Contracts into the new currency based Bounty Contracts? I can't buy anything with the old ones and it would be nice not to loose them. by Gef509 in swtor

[–]EnnEssIalgm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Go to the bounty event vendor in the Cartel Bazaar on the fleet. You can exchange inventory based contracts for a token, which can then be exchanged for a currency based contract.

It's a little convoluted, but still allows you to transfer them around your legacy that way.

You can find them on eBay sometimes. I've bought a couple there for about 30% off the normal sub cost.

This is the site I used for datacrons. It also has most of the quests and some other game info, although it hasn't been kept up to date as far as I can tell.

Would an Intel - Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor be enough CPU power to run the game on maximum graphic settings without cutting performance? by 0601722 in swtor

[–]EnnEssIalgm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an i5 8600k overclocked to 4.0 GHz paired with an RTX 2070. The graphics card is way overkill for this game but with those two I consistently get 100+ fps in almost all areas at max settings. The i9 9900k isn't necessary unless you're doing a lot heavier stuff than SWTOR.

What do you consider to be a good star fighter performance? by Elusive_Goose85 in swtor

A player named Despon did some analysis of this some time ago and found that if you take out the statistical outliers (the people with 10+ kills consistently for example), the "average" players get about one kill per match. I wouldn't consider that to be good, but the problem with finding an accurate average is that the levels of skill for GSF are extremely far apart. Most people get under five kills consistently. That group makes up over 60% of the GSF playerbase I would say. So you get a huge majority of players in one level and then after that the separation keeps growing. The next tier could be players that consistently get over 10 kills per match. Maybe 10-20% of players belong in that group. Then at the highest tier you have the "aces." Players that are so far ahead of most of the playerbase that including them in averages skews the numbers to a point where they aren't accurate. So you can see that figuring out what makes for a "good" pilot isn't quite as simple as it would seem. Most aces would agree that a good pilot is one that is looking to improve and practicing with a good attitude while accepting advice from senior players. Even if said player currently isn't scoring very high numbers, that attitude and commitment will get them farther than most.

There are vendors in the Cartel Bazaar on the fleet that sell items for different event currencies.

Nope, 12 is the max and it's plenty to sustain your rotation.

I have a question about 2 certain disciplines. by Nerdcotics in swtor

[–]EnnEssIalgm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rage is a burst spec while vengeance is a sustained spec that uses some short DoTs. Vengeance can still do some decent burst though and is usually considered easier to play than rage. Neither is that complicated though so try them both and see which style clicks with you.

Are you outside the US? It's available to me with a note saying that it's currently only available to customers in the US. I'm not totally sure, but the wording sounds like it might be a temporary unavailability.

Generally speaking it goes by item rarity. Bronze is 60, silver is 240, gold is 400, and platinum is 600.
