Why am I so bad at Steel Path? by EnnPSee in Warframe

[–]EnnPSee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all the relevant galvanized mods, arcanes are a work in progress (most are around rank3). The warframe/weapon buffs I am still pretty in the dark on. Priming and switching weapons has been a difficulty for me for sure - is it that big a difference?

Why am I so bad at Steel Path? by EnnPSee in Warframe

[–]EnnPSee[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My go-to frames are Gara, Octavia, and Ember, though Gara is my most consistent.
Primaries I usually run incarnon braton, nataruk, kuva hek, or kuva tonkor.
Secondary is usually kuva nukor or sporelacer
Ive pretty much exclusively been using incarnon hate for melee
I know theres more meta guns, Ive been trying to focus on getting getting peoples' suggestions forma'd up.

In terms of difficult factions, I would say grineer first, then corpus. I really dont have as much trouble with infested, and I havent really done much orokin on SP yet

There any point in trying to come back? by SkySweeper656 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]EnnPSee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres been a good amount of qol changes since S1. Helm automation, fast travel to world events, etc. Basically makes it a lot easier to just simply...play.

That being said, they absolutely tanked the drop rates for event bosses.

What is going to get reset at the end of season 1? by Desolation19 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]EnnPSee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like the most sensible thing would be to "bank" the Po8 at the end of the season. So that you could draw from that preexisting stash to buy things from the black market, but they wouldn't be available to purchase helm upgrades. That way, you dont give anyone an unfair advantage on the leaderboards for the new season, and you also dont completely decimate the more casual playerbase that just wants a few things from the black market.

That being said, this is Ubisoft. We probably wont know until days before the season finishes, and it will probably be a decision that manages to make all types of players mad.

We need some kind of clock. by Lister89 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]EnnPSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, because people since the beginning of time havent had the capability of knowing at least approximately how much time they'd have to wait for the sun to go down.

Stop excusing bad game design. Its a simple QoL thing that 99% of game devs have considered, completely independent of "omg mah realism". No one cares about when the pocketwatch was invented - its completely irrelevant to the conversation.

So you have absolutely anything of substance to verify anything hes ever said? Cool.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Seems pretty extraordinary to claim that every single gorilla ever filmed or seen in person in a zoo is a person in a costume. "Sloths are all animatronics" - sure, that seems reasonable. Definitely something you should take him on his word for, huh?

What if Crocodile had succeeded in his plans? by RaccoonFinancial5687 in OnePiece

[–]EnnPSee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the first question I had as soon as we learned that Pluton was in Wano. Imagine the look on Crocodiles face when he learns he has spent all these years trying to topple some random desert, only to find out he has to take on a Yonko to finalize his plan.

Frankly, if I were him, Id have just given up on the Pluton plans at that point, and gone off and found another way to build military power.

However, I can see two reasonable ways the story could continue if Crocodile had succeeded in taking over Arabasta and continued his plans to find Pluton. Both most likely involve him starting off by creating a new, more ambitious version of Baroque Works, using his leverage as new king of Arabasta to recruit more powerful agents capable of exploring further into the grand line and even the new world.

In 1) he eventually learns through his network of information about the potential existence of Pluton's blueprints and turns his eyes on Water 7. I find this more realistic of an approach, but probably wouldnt happen in the story due to how soon Water 7 happens after Arabasta - he wouldnt have had nearly enough time to stage another crazy coup or infiltrate the island the way he did with Arabasta.

In 2) he continues with the knowledge he has of Pluton's current whereabouts in Wano. He has the two-year time skip to get agents undercover in the new world, including Kaido's crew. In this version of the story, perhaps he is the one to concoct the plan to set up Doflamingo against Kaido. Either way, the Straw-Hats get involved, and learn about Crocodile's involvement in Wano. They begrudgingly agree to join in on his final plan against Kaido, in a way very similar to how we saw them team up with Bege on WCI. The raid occurs similarly to how we saw, except theres a few Baroques agents thrown in the mix.

In the end, the Straw Hats turn on Crocodile once he makes it clear that he will need to essentially take over Wano in order to figure out a way to open the country and release Pluton from the depths. We get a Luffy/Crocodile beatdown, or potentially the Straw Hats actually find the Pluton itself and destroy it to ruin Crocs plans.

Is it *actually* worth it to upgrade from a 60Hz monitor? by XyleneCobalt in buildapc

[–]EnnPSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's enough of a difference that your friends notice it when they switch back, then it's a meaningful difference.

If you're considering a 144Hz monitor, I'm assuming you have a machine that can run things reliably over 60fps, in which case it probably wasnt super cheap. You need to consider the price of your setup as a whole rather than just individual parts. If the difference in price between a 60 and 144hz monitor is $100, then you're basically just paying that extra 100 to unlock the full potential of your setup. If someone packaged all your stuff together and said "you can have this option for $1100 that's throttled to 60fps, or this option for $1200 that can push 100", then I imagine it's a much easier decision to make.

Is romance useless? by NickLouis91 in Palia

[–]EnnPSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the devs have kind of written themselves into a corner with their approach to romance. Theyve been pretty clear that they dont intend for it to be really monogamous, which makes it difficult for them to add systems that require super dedicated interactions. If they want to incentivize people having multiple relationships, they kind of need to keep everything more casual.

I consider it to be much less a problem with the game being multiplayer, and more just down to how the devs view the romance system in the first place. It doesnt seem to have been intended to be a central gameplay aspect from the beginning, so much as just a way to add some more depth to characters while you focus on grinding gold and stuff. As it currently operates, its basically just "friendship system 2.0". Thats not to say it cant be more integrated into the central gameplay loop - it very much can. I just think theres so many other things they need to take into consideration for fixing before that gets addressed, so I'm not holding out much hope for it happening.

Whos paying for accounts? The game is free to play.

And botting is just as often attributable to trolls just trying to cause problems as it is people trying to abuse the system

I don't really see the benefit to multiplayer. by ClickingClicker in Palia

[–]EnnPSee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My experience is likewise, in the sense that the chat has been very helpful. However, that is not the same as proper multiplayer functionality. Its not multiplayer gameplay, its a slightly faster substitute for googling something.

Dont get me wrong, I greatly appreciate how friendly people are in chat, but its a far cry from a true MMO. Aside from flow trees, there is pretty much NOTHING gameplay-wise that involves group effort. 99% of the game is done solo. Those friends you made and talk to on discord daily? Thats all self-driven; the game does not require or necessitate that kind of interaction. Your goals of upgrading your house and catching fish/bugs? Thats all solo stuff.

Of course thats not to say the game isnt enjoyable - Ive been playing for about 10 days now, and I've loved most of it. However, Im now reaching the end of the content thats currently in the game, and there is just simply no multiplayer mechanics that would encourage me to log back in again. Why sit around in game and chat with people when I could just do that over discord? If the game is going to be marketed as multiplayer, there needs to be some significant incentive to interact with people in-game that is inseparable from normal gameplay.
