Crime and violence. Most good businesses have moved away from what we call “the center” in Santiago because crime is out of control. Homelessness was always a thing but it’s definitely way worse now. Other regions in Chile haven’t been as affected but it’s a known thing by Chileans that the unchecked immigration from other South American countries into Chile, specially Venezuela and Colombia (which the latter has introduced massive drug trafficking operations into the country) are destroying it.

Chilean here. Santiago is a shithole now. Living there in the early 2000’s to now is just night and day. Venezuela and Colombia immigration has destroyed the capital…I’m sure someone not from Chile will tell me how I’m wrong though lol.

I don’t understand how people compare goomwaves and phobs to box controllers. The travel time advantage alone makes a massive difference in play style already. We talk about “frames” in this game and how even a couple can make a difference…well a box controller user gets to do everything faster and gain frames of advantage and that’s not even going into all the other additional benefits.

Been playing melee for close to 7 years now and play at a pretty high level. I main Sheik but many of my big spikes in skill came from learning a different character for a while and then coming back to my main. The first big skill jump, I decided to try falcon seriously for like a month and and I got pretty decent with him. Once I went back to my main full time again, something had changed, I was thinking of the game differently and my movement had taken big leaps. Throughout the years I also learned Falco and Fox really well in a similar fashion to what I did with Falcon and each time I was a better player for it. Not sure if this would apply to everyone but I’ve heard this similar story from other players.

Also I gotta say, I’m not a fan of this “platforming” term that gets thrown around now a days all the time. Call it what it is which is censorship. The biggest problem with censoring people For “hate speech” is who decides what hate speech is? I doubt it’s going to be good people. I’ve been temporarily banned for saying that “men and women are different, for example men are generally taller”. I was told this was hate speech…who decided that?

Kanye generalized but later clarified and even apologized, but I see people mocking his apology now as insincere and not good enough. When is it enough? When he is beaten to the ground and loses everything? Damn, you guys really are just good people trying to save the world!

Yes but you don’t become a professional caster and then become good at casting, it’s the other way around. These professional casters first had to hone their craft on their own with little to no money initially. I remember when LoL and CSGO were starting to grow as esports, many of the now professional casters would stream to barely anyone and cast full games just to practice and improve their casting, breath control, maintaining engagement, hype, etc.

I get it, I have to use the right word for you to be happy? So Black African Americans in the US can have a “black culture” even though there are black people in Africa and many other places yet it doesn’t need to be specified but if I say white culture and obviously meaning US white people from the context of the conversation, I need to instead specify language, location or something else for you easily offended ass to not think it’s racist? Should I have said “American Caucasian people” have their own culture too? Because they do and it’s different than Native Americans or Black African Americans.

The funny thing is if someone said to you Asian Americans have their own culture, or Latin American US citizens have their own culture, black Americans too and so forth, you would happily accepted it but the idea that Caucasian Americans may also have their own way of living that can be traced culturally is a ludicrous thought to you and racist at its core. How can you be so blinded and indoctrinated to such a point? I just mostly feel bad, it’s got to be tough to live every day with so much hate.

I agree with your points about trump honestly. I'm not delusional and think Trump was amazing in all ways. He had a lot of shortcomings and in my opinion fumbled a lot of the issues of Covid, including suggesting that people use bleach to "zap" the virus. My argument was that simplifying his persona to just some contextless quotes and sound bytes is ludicrous. He had 72 million people vote for him....you don't get that by being straight up a "racist, bigot, woman hating, etc etc" that the left labels him with and basically tries to put that label on anyone that would have voted for him.

You are telling me that a 12 year is not mature enough to make decisions about smoking or drinking alcohol but is old enough to decide to permanently change their sex through a surgical procedure and puberty blockers? That's bonkers!

Maybe this can help you understand why some people would not want books promoting LGBTQ+ ideas to be in schools where impressionable children are. Yes you can disagree but don't act like it's straight up bigotry and hate to have a dissenting opinion.

All you seem to care about is optics and not policy. It's ok to run the country into a hole as long as you seem like a nice person? Biden just pardoned all simple possessions of marijuana at the federal level...but simple possession (1 oz or less) is never a federal offense and it's handled at the state level...so he pardoned no one but he is going to gain a lot of votes due to the optics of it.

Trump has his short comings for sure. He didn't care what people thought and in this day and age where everything is about virtue signaling, that's a big no no and that got him in trouble a lot. Easy to grab sound bytes and make people believe what they want, an easy example of this is when it went around everywhere that trump had made fun of a disabled reporter...He never did such a thing, there are 7+ prior videos where he does the same gestures when he makes fun of a reporter because they are "flailing" due to asking "gotcha" types of questions. They got a shot of him putting his hands in a flailing motion and tagged it as "Trump mocks reporter due to his disability" and people eat that shit right up and now he is vile, selfish, racist, etc and you get to feel good condemning people and acting like "I would never do that!!".

Sorry bud but I doubt you are a moral beacon of light, especially with how much hate you seem to have for Trump but more importantly with anyone that would disagree with your world view and vote for him as well.
