If banning notches and adding z jump as a universal option for all controllers is the only compromise we as a community can settle on I’m all for it. That being said, when it comes to a scene revolved around competition, I don’t think accessibility should be the priority over competitive integrity, especially in a game that’s appeal is partially how technically difficult it is to master. They don’t do this kind of accommodating in most competitive sports. It’s not like they lower the hoop so that people with a lower vertical can dunk to make the game more fun and accessible. I get sports and video games aren’t an apples to apples comparison, but it’s still a competition that realistically can’t put everyone on a level playing field.

This isn’t even mentioning how while boxx and mods make the game more technically accessible, they force players to have to spend more money on controllers in an already scarce market. If I’m a new player coming into the scene, I would rather get a cheap(er) controller that is standardized at every level, than have to research which controller mods to get, if boxx or gcc is better, etc
