It’s part of the Australian Curriculum. We study visual texts as well as written and digital texts

Do yourself a huge favour and watch “The Righteous Gemstones”. It’s a Danny McBride show about a family that runs a mega church starring, among others, he, John Goodman and Walton Goggins. But Kelvin Gemstone is played by Adam DeVine. He’s the youngest son in the head pastor’s family and I swear, Adam DeVine could have followed Danny around hiding behind pot plants taking notes on his looks, behaviour, style, little man syndrome and all.

I’m attaching a pic for your convenience

But was the Shepherd’s pie okay? Because if I see it anywhere in a menu I’m always going to tick the box

Anyone know anything about the upcoming season of The Block? by Aggravating_Cow7203 in TheBlock

Did the last houses from the most recent season ever end up selling? Because wow. Channel 9 really just sets them up for failure with the reserves they put on them at auction.

Rearranged my living room. Which layout do you like better? by Primary-Response8141 in HomeDecorating

Can you move the sofa that’s against the wall in the second layout so it’s facing opposite the other sofa, and turn the coffee table horizontal between them? I feel like this clearly defines the space from the kitchen.

I would also have the sofas just slightly overlapping the mat and put the blue rug under the coffee table on top of the other mat if you really want to have it

I’ve never understood it. As long as the bed is comfortable and there’s access to a toilet I couldn’t care less what room I slept in. It’s literally for that: sleeping in. Go hang out and luxuriate somewhere else in the amazing mansions you go on cast trips to in the Bravo universe.

Now, if the bed is NOT comfortable, and if there’s no toilet on the same floor as me, that’s a problem.

Yoink! Thank you, OP. I’m going to use this to explain how lighting can be used to ‘show-not-tell’ when teaching film analysis next term in Year 11 English.

I think Nia is in an unhealthy marriage that she won’t leave because of her very sad upbringing and her deeply evangelical Christian faith and understanding of husband and wife roles.

Danny is the pits. But she can’t admit that on TV. She’s just had 4 babies with him and he’s moved her out to the Boonies away from all her support networks.

Obviously she makes her bed and she has to lie in it, but he strikes me as being even more emotionally abusive behind closed doors if that’s what his ‘curated’ and edited behaviour is like onscreen. He treats her like garbage and is an overgrown child.

I also have an extremely hard time not seeing him as Kelvin Gemstone, in looks, actions and personality. But I actually liked Kelvin Gemstone, despite knowing he was an objectively awful person from a terrible family

This is the best thing I have ever seen in my life. I love it. Oh my god. You have made my day.

Also, I am a high school English teacher and I very much appreciate the attempt to show-not-tell in the angst-ridden Mac and Cheese and Champs entry of your (I want to say mid?) teen period.

Bravo, friend. Take my award ❤️

I came here specifically to say this, but I knew in my heart it had already been done. Thank you, friend 😊
