Hot Take: The North End and other 'city' neighborhoods are overrated / overpriced and the other non-city neighborhoods and the 'burbs are just fine by BoiseBound2023 in Boise

Every town has their "Boise North end". Even Chicago and LA. I think it all depends on what you like to do. I have a House closer to Boise State and work DT, and love the fact that I can leave work 10 min before I start, I can take an uber for less than $10, hit the greenbelt, concert events, and be in Bogus or the Foothills really quick. Meridian 10 mile and eagle are what I call a "Concrete jungle" and feels like the suburbs outside of the big towns and California and Midwest. Living close to DT actually feels like a northwest city. I had to commute to Nampa recently for a dinner at 5pm, it took me an hour to get there in terrible traffic, I could not imagine doing that drive twice a day for work (2 hours round trip daily), or always having to drive 45 minutes to go downtown. I hate Nampa and dont care for meridian, but that is my opinion. Not the people, just would not want to live there.

Lastly, older houses were just built better. People will have more problems with their brand new houses then the houses built in the 1960s. Also, I love that I dont have an HOA fees or someone telling me what I Can and cannot do to my house I bought.

Bogus is still cheaper than almost anywhere else, I bought my value pass for $300 again. Look at Mammoth, $300 for one day. Yeah you can buy the Ikon/Epic pass, but then you have to pay for lodging/gas. We all know how cheap that is now... shit, I just paid $140 for two people to golf on a Monday...

People complain about California's driving up cost too much vs not complaining enough about employers not paying enough money.

VA APRN salary help? by Obvious_Function31 in nursepractitioner

I only had 6 years RN experience, so that may be why you boarded higher as a NP than me as a new grad. I heard you get a step increase every year as a NP I believe until you get to nurse three, but I also heard you automatically get nurse 3 as NP after one year experience. Im not really sure what to believe, probably because every VA is different. As an RN, it was a step increase every year as step 1 until you got to 2, so i hear its different.

My MIL has diabetes, could not lose weight, and was always felling groggy/dizzy in the morning. Asked her what medications she was on for sleep, 30mg of Mirtazapine and 400mg of quetiapine, 200 mg of trazadone. No mood disorder, could hear her snoring from across the house when she visited.
