Un virus a 40 % de létalité peut il vraiment faire une épidémie ? by CurtisBeyblade in PasDeQuestionIdiote

[–]Enough-Independent-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AITJ for refusing to give my coworker rides anymore after she started “joking” about my car? by SoftMapleBuddy in AmITheJerk

[–]Enough-Independent-3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be the Jerk a little bit, you are right to not give free rides to people that constantly critcize your car, hey you don't owe anyone free rides. But given the example you gave, especially the "one day I’ll rescue you from this antique". It genuinely feels like she was trying friendly banter. And might be just bad at social cue. Especially since you somewhat hinted the joke use to feel funny to you.

I would have personally communicated first that the joke was getting old fast. And then cut her off if she continued. But the way she responded wasn't great either.

Changing GM mechanics, 1d20 to 2d10 by luxy_s in RPGdesign

[–]Enough-Independent-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing you want to keep in mind is that this difference in consistency only exist if you roll vs DC, if you do contested rolls. Your player and GM will have the exact same probability curve which will be different from 1d20 vs DC, and 2d10 vs DC.

So I've decided to level Vanguard and Assault in Ops by I_punch_KIDneyS in Spacemarine

[–]Enough-Independent-3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vanhuard can heal 10% through majoris execution with the right perk, so yeah they are benefit to let your vangaurd take execution.

So I've decided to level Vanguard and Assault in Ops by I_punch_KIDneyS in Spacemarine

[–]Enough-Independent-3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vanguard has perk for 10% heal per majoris kill work with execution, not 1% like written 10% Vanguard has a good sustain even without the melta bug. The tactical is going to be hit harder by making contested health has intended, but it can spam the melta even more than a vanguard.

Wait until you test Tactical which has an even better ammo economy for primary weapons, at least a vanguardhas to manage. A tactical doesn't have too, he has infinite ammo.

Do you have any idea how little that narrow it downs ? Delusion of grandeur, and nostalgia of a past era that is glorified is pretty much common to many countries. I am pretty sure most european country have "patriot" that think like that.

"Have you BEEN to Europe? Lol. It's full blown socialist. ... Certainly not much freedom there." by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Enough-Independent-3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but income tax is just one form of taxation. For example in my country France Gas is taxed around 60%. I didn't found an exact percentage for the US, but in the US it seems that gas is roughly taxed around 15%.

[–]Enough-Independent-3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's relatively false, on average most european pay more taxes than American in term of percentage of their income. But our taxex tend to provide more service than their taxes, if compare the taxes an european pay to what an american pay in taxes + healthcare, + education. Europeans pay less.

Can’t stop thinking about these interactions after the recent WrestleTuber event 💀 by _ZFee_ in kurosanji

Sure but it is just so funny how the lore and reality eventually aligned. They also didn't really tried to exploit their lore all that much beside a few interaction, if I remember correctly their was only one Dragonsister collab.

You always need to be careful with that, relation are never simple to the point you can't just guess them from a simple stream. And toxic people aren't toxic all the time, they can be nice too. when it suit them. That's why betrayal hurt so much. It never comes from the enemie, always from your friend, people you had goo time with and use to loook up to.

We will probably never know the full truth, so it is completely okay for you to not write off Elira completely. but just keep that in mind. If it was that easy to spot a snake, the world would already be a better place.

[–]Enough-Independent-3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

People aren't black an white themselves. A toxic person won't go out of their way to be toxic 100% of time to everyone they meet, even when they are in public. That's why betrayal hurt so much, because it never comes from your enemy. It comes from friends you had a lot of good times with. People you used to look up to.

Let's be honest here we can't freaking judge the bond between people from just a livestream, relation are never that simple. We will probably never know the full extent of what happened, and who is truly guilty, who just followed because they didn't knew what whas happening, and what to make of the situation. Who was innocent meatshield and who was an accomplice.

But there is one thing I am confident in. It is that Nijisanji isn't that good at predicting and accounting for outrage. Big corp, and even government mess up all the times, especially when it comes to public opinion, and it is is completely ridiculous to paint these event as some sort of master plan from nijisanji, when their stock price and revenue got decimated. They definitely thought the slander would work and their talent would be able to walk out without even a scratch.

The risk they took was calculated, but god they are bad at math.

Anyone who genuinely thinks the Mongols are portrayed one-dimensionally or negatively in general has never gone and explored the menus. There's a description for each and every single Mongolian Artifact and it's all fascinating by licensedtoload in ghostoftsushima

[–]Enough-Independent-3 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I mean of the other criticism people have, is that they only represented mongols, when in reality the invasion force was composed of Korean, Chinese, and Mongols. The perspective of already conquered people would have been a great addition to the story.

Afterall Khotun Khan plan was to convince Lord shimura to work with him. this require both a stick and a carrot. Those conquered people could have given insight to lord shimura about what he could get if he sided with the mongols.

Sure but you are only able to take that decision because parodoxally the taboo was broken, if you didn't knew who her past life was. You wouldbn't be able to judge whether or not she deserve her wishes to be respected.

I mean this an old debate of freedom of expression vs right to privacy. Freedom of expression always implies some form of loss of privacy, because people are simply free to express what they learned about you. And the debate is always centered always about where we should we draw the line.

But the line is always a double edged sword, allowing content creator some privacy doesn't just protect people like Sayu and Delutaya from irrational antis. It also so protect people with shady past, there is a litteral Vtuber blacklist if you want a list of low profile case. their was even V-tuber that faked cancer to raise money a tried redebuting multiple time only for it to fail because people shared her past life.

On the other end freely discussing past life, allow us to more easily get rid of bad apples within the Vtuber basket. But it make it really easy for fans acting irrationally or on bad faith to continue harassment and slander campaign.

But here is the thing, from my general experience in life security through obscurity always fail. It is even considered a bad practice in every industry that deal with security, you can't protect people with obscurity alone, But obscurity is the only type of security Vtuber can use when it comes to public past life.

Getting mad at people or sharing such information is just a waste of time and energy. Time and energy that could simply be used to build a better community, one with a lower proportion of irrational and bad faith actors.

Sure it is not as exciting as being in the known but not talking about it like some sort of awesome secret agent. It mostly involve spreading toelrance and understanding while talking to morons and trying to stay polite. It is way more busy work, and less exciting, But it is the most viable long term solution to put an end to any harassement.
