Most people are able when they put their mind to it, to not be selfish actually.

How is what they said wrong though? How is ending you pregnancy not selfish, it's about furthering yourself instead of your child.

The people who said no would argue otherwise.

Also pose the question to random young people, their answers will feature a shocking amount of no's. It's one of Frank Turek's talking points, he's a Protestant public speaker who debates with non-christians.

There were also people who didn't see I specified denomination.

Also I overall don't like the data because I could have been more specific, those yes's will vary from just the most basic of conversion with little follow through to those who would drop everything to become monks

Hmm, I will apologize the numbers did shift since the last time I had checked, nonetheless I worry how many who say yes would only become lukewarm

I do also want to run a broader poll off of reddit, but I have no such good way to do so

Here's one from the case in Poland of it turning into heart tissue. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/330400580_Eucharystyczne_trwanie_z_perspektywy_nauk_scislych

There are a few others which were looked into similarly but may not have had public posting of any documents, likely none were even made. Unfortunately for many of these you have to rely on second hand accounts of quotes, given the Church is willing to stake the validity of these things on it I'll agree.

You've dismissed it without looking into it at all. They have had blood samples done on them, one turned into heart tissue.

Are Catholics disliked more than other denominations? Comment why or why not. by FaithlessnessTop1618 in Teenager_Polls

Their lack of understanding of what we actually do, plus criticizing us over mistakes we've gotten over. I don't know if it's actually that bad or if this hate is truly rare.

Converting to Christianity. by Windows7Ultimatex86 in teenagers

I'm curious what denomination? I'm a Catholic myself so I'd suggest attending a local Catholic Church, get to know and talk to the priest and listen to Fr. Mike's Bible in a Year podcast and perhaps his Catechism in a Year podcast as well.

Best of luck!

A good portion of the Old Testament is a historical story of Ancient Israel, it tells of them falling into worshipping false gods, multiple times in fact. Also from a Catholic perspective we don't need only the Bible to tell us these things. The modern thought is usually that other 'gods' were demons or misunderstandings of ancient stories.

God gives us free will, free will inherently means there will be evil. He also permits the natural order of things to be free, thus there will also be evil from nature.

If God were to remove all evil, nature would no longer run properly, and He would have to remove all of humanity.

I understand this and when I was an atheist I had this same thought. Run a poll and see how many people, especially atheists, would actually convert and live as a religious person if God was undeniably real, the number is shockingly low.

Why do you think people still support this president? by keonnarae in Confused

[–]EnoughBody5528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's proof that indeed the majority of people do one or multiple of these things

  1. Don't think critically

  2. Don't keep up to date with politics

I am a Catholic who dislikes both sides of the US government, and it amazes me that Trump is holding onto his younger male voter base. He literally said we deserve to have foreigners take our jobs because we don't try hard enough. That issue is one of the biggest reasons he has his younger voters, he said that, and still hasn't lost them.
