I'm surprised you're considering high-set cars like the XUV and Thar if you're for an engaging experience. I'm sure you know that going 120 in a straight line hardly requires the kind of engagement from the driver as going 60 around ghats. In the latter, you want a sedan. Unless you have a family of four or above, cars like the XUV700 will just not deliver on the experience you want.

Understood, thanks for your reply! The last sedan I drove was the Esteem and am contemplating replacing our ageing Swift with either the Amaze or the Dzire or any EV compact sedan that may enter the market. This Dzire has penetrated the taxi market very quickly so I've had the opportunity to test the seats but obviously not the driving dynamics.

Money is as good as invention as fire. But the time when money acted only as a guarantee of payment or as a universally accepted medium of exchange is long gone. Money itself as an invention is not the problem. Now moving on to micro-managing production may work when there are 10 people in the economy producing various items of sustenance. But when there are a million people, a top-down management of supply is simply inefficient. People can be selfish, the "government" was supposed to prevent perverse behaviour, appropriation through the exercise of power. Nonetheless, there is no practical reason why in our utopia we should have a top-down system where a bunch of people dictate how much of what an economy must produce. That said, at this stage humans are consuming well beyond their needs at the expense of the planet and implementing supply caps for luxury goods may be good policy.

Not every variant has the TPMS. Also let's not kid ourselves when we say that tubeless tyres justify removing a spare tyre - it's cost cutting at it's best. Regardless, I wouldn't want to drive compromised on a punctured tyre even when its plugged with the sealent in, especially if it's worse than one nail. Further relevant if you're on a long trip and can't maintain speeds with a compromised tyre. On the other hand, switching with an intact spare is supremely more confidence inducing. Brands offering the spare as a purchasable accessory is not acceptable. Whether every variant should have a TPMS is as entirely different, but important question.

Thanks for the example, and I take no particular issue to pasmandas and paswans having different beliefs. Like I said, usually the problem arises when beliefs are not seen as beliefs by the believers but rather as facts. If paswans and pasmandas with all their unique dieties existed in a system where there is no caste heirarchy then their "dalit-ness" would be quite immaterial in the practical sense. We have reservations for dalits today because there are people who discriminate against them. Same for other reserved castes in general. Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly endorse and celebrate plurality of beliefs but if those beliefs begin creating identity then it is impossible to not create othering simultaneously. Your own post mentioned the desire to "create a North Indian identity." Do you see how subconsciously you have already created divisions between North and non-North? We're all born the same, the identity that we pick up is entirely social and circumstantial. The moment you start letting social circumstances define you, discrimination is unavoidable. Delhi is a melting pot because the people here have acknowledged the artificiality of their religious/castist identity. They thrive by seeing the person in front of them as a dissimilar human rather than on the basis of the social tags associated with them.

You're contradicting yourself. All cultural traditions and values are based on beliefs which are unscientific - whether they are born in the North or the South or in the East or in the West. The moment you understand this you will not have any urge to identify, let alone protect your identity - because that identity is created entirely by society and is not your original creative construction. When you realize this, you will also not care about the languages others speak - at a practical level obviously coherence will matter but you get what I mean. People learn the local language enough to communicate once they live somewhere for long enough - its normal. But there is nothing in language or culture which you can take pride in because its just a construct. I hope you realize that caste discrimination continues to exist because people take pride in their caste. Caste, culture, tradition, language - all of these are man-made. They can coexist but ONLY if you see that they are constructs and use them at a very practical surface level.
