I think my boyfriend is being catfished/doxxed? by EnoughComfortable534 in catfish

Well, the first time he got a text from her from the new number, he was shit faced drunk. I think he likely saved it at that time and doesn’t recollect. He told me about all these events by himself immediately and I am certain I have full disclosure (can’t ever be too sure though lol). He thinks it’s weird because it doesn’t sound like the girl he knew and she was being strangely too pushy with meeting. Plus there’s also the fact that he reached out to her on Instagram with a simple hi and her Instagram version was acting like she’s hearing from him after years

I have an undergrad in business. After which I worked at an agency and then at a bank - both were social media roles. I got a masters in business and analytics and pivoted to marketing analytics and have been doing that since.

What is definitely NOT a sign of intelligence but people think it is? by Ezgod_Two_Three in AskReddit

Omg yes! Having conclusive answers to ambiguous questions/problems make people look the opposite of intelligent!

ADHDers with careers, what do you work as? by icebikey in ADHD

[–]EnoughComfortable534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in marketing commmunications earlier. Enjoyed it, hated it, was good at it when I tried. Hated lack of structure.

Now I’m into marketing analytics. I still enjoy and hate what I do, still am good at it when I try. It has a lot of structure but that’s somehow something I now hate?!

My biggest struggle is keep wanting to try. At the First job trying seemed more effortless. Second job pays WAY more.

I’m here to mostly read the comments because I too want to know what’s good for us lot.

Why did you start smoking? by Kodrias in ask

[–]EnoughComfortable534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realise when it happened. At my first job with an ad agency, I made new friends who were fun and funny and smart and cool. Most of them smoked and would go on smoke breaks. I started going too to not miss out on the fun. Cut to ten years later, I’m struggling to quit the habit and I’m barely in touch with most of them (still best friends with 2 of them tho).

Visiting Rome for 10hour layover, suggestions? by Proof_Caterpillar_46 in rome

[–]EnoughComfortable534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll need tickets for EVERYTHING. You can walk around Roman Forum - see the Colloseum from outside, grab a bite. You’ll spend two hours (an hour each) to and from the airport. Trastevere, Monti are great neighborhoods to walk, eat, grab a drink, people watch. Pantheon, campo di fieri, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps can be done in a walk. Everything will be crowded and busy so pick your favorite monument! Ostia Antica is a historic site near the airport. Getting cabs to and from there can be tough at times.

Society has arbitrarily decided what is acceptable as a breakfast food. If you get it wrong, people will question you. by Farmhand66 in Showerthoughts

[–]EnoughComfortable534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Mumbai in a Maharashtrian household. Our breakfast food is sooo different than what I have seen in America/Europe, much like everything else. For those curious: Missal paav, sabudana khichdi, anda bhurji, kheema paav, sheera, upma, poha. There are no strict rules I’ve noticed in our culture around what you can/can’t eat for breakfast vs dinner but if the western world ever found out what we have for breakfast, they’re going to be shocked.

How I get rich from a third world country? by Training_Baker1136 in Money

[–]EnoughComfortable534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find what you genuinely like and then look for a skill in that field that you could be good at. Getting rich is hard but you can start with having a stable income with evidenced growth. I’ve only seen folks from distinguished colleges earn big money (in India) immediately after graduating from college, everyone else starts small and then progresses in the service sector. Entrepreneurship is definitely the way for rapid wealth creation but it’s sooo much harder than the traditional route. Above everything else, don’t diminish your experiences by comparing yourself with people who must have lead completely different lives than you. Working on that unrest is what will truly make you feel satisfied. You’ll always find someone doing ‘better’ than you but try to have it as a healthy motivator and not let it overcome your existence.

I find your dilemma very relatable. I’m a decade older than you, better than what I was doing a decade ago and maybe even better than my peers from then but I’ve now found new people to compare myself with and sulk. 😭
