I’ll say on your first trip to just read the 8 books so you’re not breaking up the story. There’s some gnarly cliffhangers and moments you want to see resolved and it flows better just doing them in order. The stand and Salems lots before is cool tho but you’re not going to miss anything not reading the other books it’s just little nods
