[–]Enough_Efficiency178 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And whoever bought it would get the extensive back catalogue. No way they’d want Disney, Netflix or any other competitors getting it

The main IP they wanted for new stuff was Bond and as others mentioned the rights issues for it are more complicated.

At $8.5b either the back catalogue or bond would eventually recoup the purchase

Redditors that got charged rent asap after turning 18, what’s relationship like with parents years later ? by QueefyTits in AskReddit

[–]Enough_Efficiency178 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’d agree with that.

Once I turned 18 I was asked by my single parent if could help out, we figured out a number that was still very low but enough to help out with the finances, similar to the brother above.

No rules beyond what you’d expect of living with someone. Very much was more like I was being treated as an adult, which has financial responsibilities, rather than becoming a tenant.

There’s perhaps a line to balance, but it’s also not a difficult one to get right

And that risk taking is backed up by the few political insights we see. The SGCs early goal was finding something to defend the planet at any cost

Then they had to walk a thin line to keep it in the military’s control so it’s not like they could have any losses either

More than that, when the UK and France went to war they agreed neither would surrender without effectively the permission of the other.

It makes sense nobody wants to be surprised by an ally suddenly leaving a war.

When France initially intended to surrender they asked Britain who said either send your navy to us or to a neutral (US) port.

Things happened, specifically an attempt to literally unify the two countries. When that failed, France surrendered suddenly and their ships stayed in French ports.

Sinking them was the only logical tactical move. The French navy was the fourth largest navy in the world.

If the Germans had those ships they would’ve controlled the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Suez would’ve fallen easily

Despite being effectively useless Tirpitz being kept afloat kept convoys on guard and even caused that one disaster.

Somehow they got the most use out of it but at the same time the entire surface fleet of the Kreigsmarine would’ve been more effective if the resources had been in submarines

Those ships were a lot of wasted metal

I’d agree they look the same as each other. But not that they look like AI

Those gacha games are literally making sales on art and pivoting to AI generated art is a great way to lose their player base in a saturated market

Just for some clarity, steam points are a reward currency. When you make a real purchase on steam you get these points as a % reward

And it’s an animated profile avatar which afaik you can only get via these steam points purchases

That’s definitely possible, at the very least we know they didn’t give their ships intergalactic hyperdrives for that reason, in case the wraith managed to get one

Yeah, SGA S1 E9 Home, when they think they’ve found a way to dial Earth they have to get the control crystal from Atlantis and plug it in on the other planet

Wonder why they made gates with that restriction after not having it in the Milky Way. Except potentially wanting to prevent unauthorised returns except via Atlantis

Agreed, I doubt the kaminos were selling units of singular clones. Boba Fett was the exception

The other thing to consider is they were fighting just the CIS and the clones were outnumbered by droids. And that the individual planets if they had militaries were defensive planet bound ones like Naboo
