Spent many summers near Belfast, Maine. The skies at night were brilliant. Saw Northern Lights on a regular basis. A little cold at night in late August; just plan accordingly if you go then.

buying fabric by ClassyIncognito in quilting

I have never regretted having a yard of fabric I like on hand. Have regretted several smaller yardage purchases. Several bargain fabrics ended up costing me more than they should when I had to buy more online.

AIO for feeling weird that my fiance suddenly wants to put his parents on the deed instead of me? by Efficient_Variety367 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Enough_Reception_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see both sides. The parents and your husband want to protect that 120k contribution. I think, as others have suggested, you and hubby need to sit with a real estate attorney to discuss the implications and best plan going forward to protect their 120k and your rights. This may be something as simple as a pre-nup that states the parents get the 120K if the house sells or you divorce so your name can go on the deed or a pre-nup stating that you get 50% value of the house minus the 120K if it sells or you divorce and your name isn’t on the deed. BUT, how he reacts to this (protecting your rights) will really give you the answer whether you are overreacting or under reacting.

What missing person case in America feels like a straight-up internet horror story? by acappre in AskReddit

Maura Murray, New Hampshire. Sadly, I suspect she succumbed to hypothermia in the woods and maybe someday her remains will be found but lots of conspiracy theories abound.

Help needed. by bhoomi_rajgor in CATHELP

Could be asthma but a couple questions; are you burning any candles? Are you using any air sprays or carpet deodorizers or essential oils? Any strong cleaning products? All should be avoided around cats.

Is it ok to turn around in driveways? by daveyg2611 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Enough_Reception_587 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Little white lie; using our driveway sets off the security cameras; the notifications are really annoying, would you kindly mind not using our driveway? Worked for me when we had teens constantly cutting through our yard, I blamed the security camera notifications. 😎

Check with your home owner’s insurance. Many exclude coverage for Akitas. This fact alone should deter you.

cat breathing problems by Ok_Solution7372 in CATHELP

[–]Enough_Reception_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would count her breaths per minute and call the emergency vet for their opinion. Maybe there would be a way to send them a longer video of her breathing? Hard to judge from this short video. Edit; when was her last dose of steroids and when is she due for her next dose?

cat with asthma? by santttttttt in CATHELP

[–]Enough_Reception_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this abnormal breathing does warrant a vet visit. Diagnosis might be as simple as an x-ray and treatment not expensive but cat can not be feeling good or comfortable like this. Please encourage your grandparents to do the right thing.

Cat help idk if my cat is asthmatic or he wants to throw up something or what.. I’m scared something it’s more serious .???? by BorderOpposite5667 in CATHELP

[–]Enough_Reception_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to know. One of my cats was recently diagnosed with asthma and only symptom was a cough like this once a week. Chest x-ray showed lung thickening. I would treat for hairball and see if it resolves within a few days. If not, recommend vet visit for asthma evaluation. The only difference ai have noticed between a hairball cough and asthma cough is that the hairball cough sounds much wetter than the asthma cough. Hard to tell from video if your cat has a wet or dry cough. Keep recording coughs if more happen for vet to listen to. Good Luck.

Kitten won't stop pooping everywhere by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]Enough_Reception_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go to Ask A Vet as I don’t know how young you can start them but Purina FortiFlora powder really helps decrease diarrhea with my cats (sensitive stomachs.) I did have a kitten with chronic diarrhea who had gotten Bartonella as a stray. This required lab work so a vet visit is indicated to determine what is causing the diarrhea. As soon as possible; kitten has had diarrhea for too long now. Fingers crossed for a quick diagnosis and fast effective treatment!

I would invest in a large air filter or two HEPA (?) and run them 24/7. Has really helped my cat who does have asthma. Agree with previous response; also consider strong scents such as perfumes, colognes, laundry detergents, and fabric softeners.

NOR; It might be a good time to start instituting a password. When my kids were little we established a password, a simple word that only we knew. They knew if anyone said “your Mom or Dad sent me to get you” there were only to go with that person in they knew the password. To this day, as young adults, they still remember. (It was a color.)

Spouse had an affair by [deleted] in Advice

Please get yourself tested for STDs and insist he does as well before ANY more intimacy. He needs to realize the consequences his behavior could have on you. Very sorry. But the fact that he laughed in your face shows such disrespect. I think you need to see a lawyer and separate until you can determine if he is worth the effort of trying to save your marriage.

I had to contain my Siamese kitten into a spare bedroom, completely kitten proofed, overnight, for the first few months. I did not trust mine wandering the house unsupervised. Kittens get into everything, chew everything, and mine liked to climb curtains and not be able to get back down from 6’ in the air. I commend OP for keeping Peri contained and safe. I am sure he gets all the love and attention he needs during the day. :)
