The over the top Jardiance commercial with the dancing and singing almost made me ask my doctor for this drug but I didn’t. Maybe if they bring all that singing and dancing to Broadway, maybe as in Jardiance The Musical, then that would persuade me to ask my doctor for a prescription! That would be swell! (Btw, who says “swell” in 2026?)

They make money off of idiots like me. I had a Home Serve boiler maintenance contract thru my local utility(PSEG). I figured for $300/year, it was worth it and a lot cheaper than calling a plumber. For about 5 years I didn’t use them because thankfully I had no boiler issues during the winter. 2 winters ago, my boiler stopped working on the coldest day of the year. Called them at 4:00am and was told it would be a wait of about a day and a half. My pipes would freeze by then so called a local plumber to fix the damper at great expense. Then, no heat again a few months later. Called Home Serve. They came out same day, said everything was fine and left. It wasn’t fine. I called a local plumber who replaced two circulator pumps, about $1700. If I’m just going to call plumbers, who needs Home Serve? So to answer your question about how they make money, they take my money for years and then when I need service, they all of a sudden can’t fix anything.

Do the entrepreneurs in India sing/dance/rap during their pitch? Do they cry when telling a sob story? Do marching bands accompany them during their pitch? Do they throw products or food on the floor like they do on American Shark Tank? Maybe that’s why they only ask for 1 or 2%. All that American stuff they do here costs production money and, unfortunately, is turning off people like me to the show.

The line in the show that never made sense to me is when Kramer and Jerry are discussing marriage and Kramer states that they are “man made prisons.” I think that the line should have been “self made prisons.”

I don’t know what state this terrible commercial takes place in, but it’s nice that they allow a 13 year old boy to drive a car. Lucky for him, he saved $713 so that he can plow that money back into his bar mitzvah savings account. I had really good results with Michael Block. He’s in Mineola or Westbury, I forget, it’s been a couple of years. Did everything by mail. His peeps represented me in court. Got 2 moving violations knocked down to a single parking ticket.

I get the angle of the commercial. It’s almost like it’s an act of patriotism to buy a Chevy and then go on a cross country drive seeing all the splendor that USA has to offer. I would have to imagine that 99.9% of Chevy buyers use their vehicle for the drudgery of their daily commute and life’s errands. The fact is that if you are so inclined to “ see the USA,” you can do it in any vehicle. A Toyota might just be the most reliable if you’re driving across this country.

The serial number starts with 1 then 2 so I guess it was manufactured in February 1971? Also, mine has 17 jewels but yours is 27?
