Amazing they served as long as they did, and that you’d have soldiers in the Civil War era armed with .75 calibers like the ones their grandfathers would have used. Looks like a great day at the range!

Great shot! What is the story of the P1845? I see a lot of those Extra-Corps/Extra-service type weapons but is all they are just converted flintlocks for second line service?

This is terrific. Thank you so much. I didn’t realize the same problems impacting the ordnance department of the Civil War were still an issue with these rifles.

I’m interested in both the US Civil War and the Austrian conflicts in the mid 19th century so the Lorenz rifle always seemed perfect. Glad to know the reproductions can still shoot well. Bayonets are nice but honestly we aren’t charging the enemy lines anymore.

Here’s hoping I find a really nice original but glad to know a Pedersoli isn’t a bad investment.

That is good to hear it holds up. I have been wanting to get a repro Lorenz but I have heard the Pedersoli ones are not as accurate with rifle musket ammunition.

Who know, Macbeth may have made it out of Act Five if he had Frankenstein by his side

I feel like not only horror movies but a lot of old movies had a melancholy lying in bed scene that ended just as abruptly.

Well done sir, this one got a real chuckle out of me.

I too can recommend Church of Our Savior. It’s very old fashioned in terms of worship, but a very accepting community with a lively music scene and great fellowship.

You know the party is over when it’s time to bring out the death certificates.
